Future step-mom is what, about 8 or so years younger than what would be her youngest step-child. Would never do that to my kids. Kinda sick in that repect.
Mick Jagger's son is two years younger than his oldest GREAT-grandchild.

So, do you invite your 9yo great uncle to your 11th birthday party? And how do you introduce him to the rest of your friends at the party?

Yeah. But this case was easy.

Jordan - Quite being a bossy bia**h. You don't work for UNC.

Bill - Get the wrinkles out your nads and be the boss. Oh, and keep your mouth shut, it doesn't often do any good for you.

UNC Staff - Everyone here knows she's not your boss, so STFU and let it die.

Job done.
Could we let her fire Hubert before she's no longer the boss?

I'd have to write down who is who and how just to keep from bungling that conversation. lol.

There is something sad when a guy who has cemented his legacy in football history, torpedoes some of that legacy for some young ass. Guy wouldn’t have paid for a single drink for the rest of his life if he had just stayed retired in Massachusetts and could have been hitting up college bars all over Boston to meet girls without the press even covering it. Such a weird situation.

Pablo Torre is just waiting for the right time.

So, as you can probably tell by my posts on this and the other BB thread-

The press on this has gotten comical-at least to me.

Piling on the old guy because he is hooking up with some young strange.

Ask yourself a question-would the press be handling this differently if say Jordan was a he? If BB had come out and said I'm gay and this is my young BF -the press would have been clapping like seals about how brave they are.

I'm asking because I saw a story last week about David Geffen getting a divorce. (I'm assuming most know who he is) The kicker is that the person he is divorcing is a guy 50 years younger
than he is lol. Add that they have been married for one year. The young boy toy is apparently an even bigger piece of work than Jordan.

The amount of money and fame Geffen has dwarfs that of Belichick.

Crickets.

Minimal to any press about the relationship/divorce-certainly not the top story on anyone's radar.

Without performing a google search, I have not one clue who David Geffen is.

Edit: After performing a google search, I know who Geffen is (mostly due to his affiliation with the Eagles). I had no idea whatsoever that he was gay, and I couldn’t care less.

Does Geffen have any connection or association with NCAA football?

There's your answer.

Google "Geffen divorce" and find articles in People and the New York Times and Hollywood Reporter and TMZ and others. There's a fair amount of generic reporting in major media about it.

Geffen and his husband appear to have kept things pretty low key while Belichick did that creepy interview, apparently had issues at UNC related to her access to the team business, etc.

Now that Bill and UNC have good PR guys managing what they do and say and what gets out, it will be low key too.

It's all a matter of managing what goes out and not giving the press a saleable story to write. If they have nothing "scandalous" to write about, they'll write about somebody else.

I get what you’re saying, but Belichick dating a 24 year old was always going to be a story. Belichick putting himself in awkward positions on social media was always going to be a story. Once the story kind of ran its course it comes out that she’s being CC’d on university emails and she’s shopping the team for Hard Knocks. Then that absurd interview happened where they refused to answer softball questions about their relationship. So they created a storyline that didn’t need to be created . It shouldn’t take a PR guy from the NFL to come in and tell them not to do stuff that I learned in PR 270 at the university of Tennessee. I kind of think this is the media punching back at Belichick a little bit, because he was always such a dick to most reporters throughout his time as NFL head coach.

Geffen was the subject of Carly Simon's 'You're So Vain'. Little bit of trivia.

That's interesting for sure. I'd always heard it was Warren Beatty, or Mick Jagger. OK, coffee kicking in. The Mick Jagger reference is that he actually sings harmonies in the song (I think).

LMAO

Nobody cares about David Geffen. I can't tell you one fkn thing about him.

The reason BB is a story is because people are interested in him. The story isn't just that he's found a young hotty. It's barely about that. The story is that he's not himself anymore, she has a ton of control, and it's really weird.

It's wild, stunning actually, that he went from Mr. No-distractions-above-all-else in New England to this, and when that fact is brought up his reaction has been like "Huh? You think so?"

The relationship between BB and the girlfriend kind of reminds me of Elizabeth Holmes and all the old men she convinced to join the board of her company.

Carly Simon said it's about 3 guys and Beatty is the only one she's named. Geffen is definitely a good guess as is Jagger.

As a fan, check out songs from Carly's "Torch" record. She can melt your speakers and your heart.

He also went from "never give the media anything" to being a media whore.

IMO he's having a mid-life crisis, just later in life. The world that he knew for a long time was upended. All the stuff he's doing is classic mid-life crisis behavior.

In my mind, the mystery lies in what's actually happening in his head. Is he surrendering control because he's feable mentally? Or is it just that the top is that good, and he's living his best life?

Not sure - IMO he's probably just having an existential crisis, and I don't think it is necessarily because he left New England but how he left and then what happened after. If he stepped away purely on his own volition, without the team regressing and had no desire to coach somewhere else (like Saban) he'd probably be the same BB. Or if a bunch of NFL teams tripped over themselves trying to hire him after he left NE, he'd probably be the same BB.

Instead, his last few teams badly regressed after Brady left and then he was forced out. The narrative really began to change that it was Brady who was the driving force behind the Pats dynasty (and not him). Then after he was forced out no team who was in the market for a head coach except the Falcons really even considered hiring him, and there were a ton of openings. I think that was just an incredible shock to his ego and he's still struggling with it. Him taking a job that he otherwise seems way "too good" for and having an extremely young girlfriend I think is a way to show that he's still in demand and establish/re-establish his identity.

A man getting a hot new girlfriend much younger than him is classic mid-life crisis behavior; it's like the most stereotypical thing a man who is in the midst of one does. His world was rocked, so that's why he's exhibiting all this out-of-character behavior, although the girlfriend he had before Jordon was also quite a bit younger than him (not like this though).
