Keeper is 28-30 inches so generally we keep 1 to eat and put everything else back. Everything today has been too big to keep.
Only kept 1 this week so far.

I caught 3-5 lb striped bass in White Oak creek, and only kept what would immediately feed those present at my mother’s home. I wouldn’t let her know that I released some. The only time she didn’t protest my releasing fish was the morning that I caught two monstrous large mouth bass from her pond just before I was to leave, and my wife had asked that they be released.

Edit: Yes, it may have been that some of these were less than 22 inches, but they all passed the eyeball test.
