President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

My understanding is that ICE identifies someone (fingerprints or DNA), and then if they can match that to a deportation order (previously derived through due process) then they deport them; if they match their identify to an arrest warrant (previously derived through due process), then they arrest them.

Otherwise, ICE initiates due process to establish whether or not the suspects are citizens or here under some kind of visa or asylum appeal. They are not just throwing people on a plane because they look Hispanic.

Yeah, in some cases it probably works like that. The problem is I am reading a million stories and seeing a million videos like these. Literally saw this one minute before reading your comment.

I don’t have a problem with people attacking, fighting federal agents. A little rebellion every now and then is a good thing.
This is true.

But let’s be honest here - Huff would be apoplectic if it was the other side going after ATF or IRS.

Since you didnt answer, Donald Trump is the POTUS that severely restricted companies being able to deduct exec comp for the officers listed in the proxy.

Again, Wal Mart wont get to deduct most of his compensation on their corp tax return.

He will report his compensation as income on his 1040.

If anything, that's inequitable...
And?

Executive pay structure has largely stayed the same since the passing of the TCJA regardless of the tax benefit change, while their employees are still qualifying for government assistance in spite of 70% of all federal aid beneficiaries working full time.

Its funny how you guys rail about the national debt one moment, and defend subsidizing corporations paying their workers so little that they qualify for SNAP the next, all the while arguing for decreasing federal tax revenue.

Instead of looking for bad guys, we're using resources to scoop up and detain women who show up to court, disrupting their community, wasting $, and ignoring the hard work of finding the dangerous criminals who you won't find voluntarily showing up at court

are they here illegally or not? If not, then why should they get a pass?

I have never advocated for decreasing federal tax revenue. I have 100% advocated for eliminating preferences in the tax code. Huge difference but you dont understand or dont care to understand.

You are railing against all the inequity in the tax code and your propsal is different kinds of inequity. That is the definitionn of a hack.

We dont have a revenue problem. We have a major spending problem. I have been as vocal and detailed as anyone on how to cut spending, especially defense...

Crazy how this happens when they're doing DNA tests to make sure they got a dangerous criminal, right?

Depends on the case. Every circumstance is different. Trump created half a million illegal immigrants with the stroke of a pen earlier this year. I think those people should get a pass.

But the point has more to do with the use of resources and how they are prioritized. Imagine if they put this much $ into finding the bad ones? That's the world I want to live in. Nobody in America is better off when we deport some working Mom of 5 American citizens. This is not smart government and it leaves our communities in a lurch.

Sorry. Here illegally you have to go. You should absolutely have due process. But I don't know why people are out of shape besides that.

It is a manufactured crisis, which didn't have to unfold in such an unpleasant way, but it did because of Donald Trump's heavy-handedness. A more tactful approach to the removal of illegal immigrants in Los Angeles would have been more efficient than these massive, high-profile, made-for-television, militarized raids. Evidently, Donald Trump thinks these scenes make him appear tough to his base and to his cheerleaders on Fox News. That matters more to Trump than being cost-effective and orderly.

Because it's not a desirable outcome. It costs $ to create a bigger burden on society.

All for the sake of laws by a lawless government.

@volfanhill Say Trump eliminates 80% of illegal immigrants by 2028...are people prepared for the hit to the economy? I don't think people understand what this would mean to our economy that is also restricting  legal immigration.

Fewer people working. Fewer people spending. The private sector element of GDP take a big hit, so do government revenues. And suddenly 10 million open "dirty" jobs that Americans don't wanna do. Inflation is already a problem.

But sure, let's spend government resources on detaining Moms who show up to court dates, instead of going after the bad guys.

Good point. Even Americans who would fit the description of being "unskilled workers" do not want to work low-paying, manual labor jobs any more.

Trump and his advisers are caught in a time warp.
