Football 75%, men's basketball 15%, women's basketball 5% = 95%. I believe the remaining 5%, $1,025,000 will be shared by softball, baseball and others.
These percentages will be the same at virtually every SEC school. I’ve been told that Mississippi State is going to allocate slightly less to men’s basketball and more to baseball, since they have all of those condos/suites at baseball and little premium seating at men’s basketball. But in general, 75/15/5/5 is going to be the breakdown most everywhere.

It’s not a surprise to the coaches, they were informed of this last summer.

A little surprised that they didn't take a little more from men's basketball and football and up baseball to five percent. Going to be tough on Vitello and Weekly to share 5 percent among them and others.

Baseball and softball are going from 11.7 and 12 scholarships to 35 and 25, respectively. That alone will make a massive difference in the financial situation of athletes in those sports. Since the majority of athletes in both sports are out of state students, going from a partial scholarship to a full is roughly equivalent to a $15,000 a year revenue share payment. Now the NIL money they earn on top of that will go into their pockets rather than making up the difference between their partial scholarship and actual cost of attendance.

Some teams may argue that it should go by profit generated by each team…
With the exception of football and maybe men's BB, that would truly be pay to play. That got me wondering if there were no scholarships or NIL, how many kids would really pay to play for their school?

Paul Finebaum declares new NCAA settlement an 'EXISTENTIAL THREAT' 🗣️

his conversation this morning was less than expecting positives.

the big will get bigger,

the mid-colleges if they overly finance men's basketball some have a chance;

litigation and expecting Congress to fix will continue, as in the colleges collectively are not able,

fans who grew up watching sports and with some expections of the sports (THEN) may turn off their interest/

and Women's sports will suffer - even as it is the fastest growing.
