Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I hear the ice-cream van rolling through the neighborhood. It must be rough selling ice-cream these days since kids never play outside anymore.

We used to ride dirt bikes in the woods and play around a creek when I was a kid. Only time we'd come out is if we heard the ice-cream man rolling through and if we had any $. We could get 4 "Fla-Vor-Ice" for $1. If I was rich for the day I'd get a chocolate/vanilla ice-cream shaped like Mickey Mouse, 😂

*by dirt bikes, I mean huffy's or maybe your buddy's mongoose. . .

Birthday money went toward a screwball ice cream with the bubble gum in the bottom. All other times, which wasn't many, was an orange push up.

started taking up bowling. check out this 40lb ball.IMG_2732.jpeg
Spent my entire life fishing and fly fishing. Reading magazines about far off adventures. Always wanted to be Flip Pallot, or Hank Parker.

Ive caught big fish in my life, barracuda, Jacks, Reds. But Cobia have always escaped me. This was a bucket list.

Never had a fish fight like that.

Ice cream prices have held steady, they're only 5 times more expensive now.

I had a few give me the same suggestion. I'm watching it right now and I've made it to the bottom of the 7th (10-5 VOLS). That 4th inning offense and Liam Doyle's relief pitching is amazing to watch. It looks like we're clicking again. I feel really good about this weekend.

GBO
If Doyle can harness that energy in AR we are good. IMO/JMO.

I do think dropping that game to WF helped us in the long run. We had not bounced back from adversity in any of our prior series.

Haven't had a push-up in years! We used to get those too, completely forgot about them. . . and the Drum-Sticks, waffle cone ice-cream with chocolate and nuts on the top. . . and the ice cream sandwiches, 😂. . . he used to have those extra-large "star pops". . .

Here's a flash-back for you:

Funny thing is, I just looked up the rocket pops. Those red, white, and blue popsicles that I just couldn't remember the name of........ I always loved them too.

Yeah, those are the ones I'm calling "star-pops". I think they were called Rocket pops around here too, but I'm remembering the store version name.

Any recommendations for things to do with kids (Ages 3 & 10) in Washington DC? Going to a Nats game, Natural History Museum, Zoo, and American Bible Museum. Any suggestions?

I like when you first get a big one on and you instantly know it's a whopper. . . praying the whole time my cheap, undersized line doesn't snap before I get to see what it is, 😂
Our guide, Capt Rob at Green Heron said 'its a Jack.'

I saw the fins, and I knew. 'No its a Cobia.'

When youve borderline obsessed over catching a fish... you know
