Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but my nephew told me that he is going to the Tennessee-Arkansas series. We never ever win on the road when he attends the game/series. A few examples: South Carolina 2022, Florida two years ago, Arkansas last year. I feel like driving to Tennessee to knee cap him so he can’t go.

Maybe offer him some cash to stay home 😆

Happy Friday

June 6, 2025: Stop stewing and fretting over the what-ifs. It is a waste of time and energy. You cannot do anything about tomorrow, next week, or next year. All you can do is take one minute at a time, which will become one hour, one day, one week, one month, one year and one lifetime. And, put your trust in God to lead, guide, direct, and protect you. Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
This is spot on and great advice. As someone who can struggle with anxiety this is something I tell myself every morning when I get up. Hard to do but if you really do it and embrace it can be incredibly freeing.

I'm a amusement/theme park junkie...I'm like a giant kid when we go...I just love em...and I don't care if too cool dudes think that it's lame.

I know why I love em so much, it is because my parents belonged to a really strict Pentecostal sect that thought "worldly amusement" was a big sin. When we would go to or through D-FW (we went through there a lot) my Dad used to take us to this awesome Mexican restaurant called Panchos, and we always drove right past Six Flags over Texas...and I wanted to go ride those big coasters and rides so bad.

So when I got married and got out...one of the first things I did was go to Six Flags in Atlanta and rode the Mindbender 10 times in a row...lol.
I remember Panchos. And driving past six flags. My older cousins took me and my sister. I don’t think I had ever had Mexican food at that point, much less a buffet lol. I was in awe of everything out there.

🧐

Make the drive. I'm positive your family will understand. I know myself and the rest of VN will support you.

And we know those reports always mean that player is gonna tear it up bc that’s how it works.

In all seriousness I hope he balls. Also wouldn’t base anything off practice reports. But from what I understand they lost a sh*t ton in the WR room.
So did we, maybe not in terms of production, but it terms of #’s, we’re 1-2 injuries away from having to play walk ons

Happy for Steelers fan, signing Rodgers means you guys will get more airtime on talkshows than my Cowboys will this season.

These talk shows love them some Aaron Rodgers...

Yes but my point being that at VT he’ll get opportunities. Here he was a RB.

So regardless of whether or not he’s an absolute baller at WR, he’s gonna get touches. So those camp/practice reports could mean diddly.

I think he should have been moved to wr last year, especially when bishop and lewis passed him up on the depth chart

major whiff by the staff letting Seldon go without giving him a chance at WR...could have played both positions if needed...kid is a pure athlete.
One of the few times I actually agree with you. Lol

Should have moved him and got him the ball. Coaches aren’t perfect and some times overthink.
