OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

On This Day In Baseball History:

Chipper Jones posts on X.com and Tennessee fans assume the world revolves around them. Tennessee Coach Tony Vitello feels obligated to call Chipper and apologize for his fans actions towards the HOF player. Chipper responds with a picture of his World Series champion ring, HOF plaque, MVP trophy, and Silver Slugger Awards in the background as he flips off Tennessee fans with both hands while also donning the biggest smile recorded in history.
To which Tony V could reply.

Just don't act like you're on crack like Andrew Fischer looked the other night.
He was so happy he pissed the other head coach off to call him a dirty name.
IMO, baseball is a game of failures. The players should show some emotion within reason. Don't go to the extreme like the NFL and NBA. But celebrate success, baseball can be hard.

It wasn’t a shot at Tony. It was a shot at our stupid fanbase.

He was so happy he pissed the other head coach off to call him a dirty name.

No problem SINCE it does not appear he even glanced at any opposing players or coaches. Just sharing joy with his own folks.

Just hate he has to deal with his own fans who missed their depression meds.
