President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

So you would gladly move your kids to Sudan where in a matter of weeks they would die of starvation or disease. You're dad of the year material.
Why would they have to go to Sudan? Aren't there plenty of other countries where they can illegally enter and take advantage of the local populace?

because you wouldn't vote for them. you would rather vote party line for a "winner".

overtime the longer you accept, by voting for them, bad actions from the GOP they are going to get further and further away from what you want. the only way to fix it is to stop voting for them until they give you someone you actually support. it also means going out and supporting that small guy. its worth it in the long run, because you would avoid the mess we are in now.

but no, all of you snowflakes would rather vote for a winner and get the instant gratification of backing a winner like Mitch McConnell rather than stand by someone who you would actually like to represent you.
i don’t have a party. I just dislike Democrats more than I do Republicans at the moment. I will vote for anyone that makes me believe in them.

The person (Oliver Chase) was on the ballot, BTW.
eh these guys are only voting for the letter next to the name. not the name itself. George Washington himself could be resurrected and run as an independent, because he hated the party system, and these guys would vote for Lindsey Graham if he won the Republican nomination in that same election.

I mentioned all the house members already. They don't want real cuts they simply want to return to not quite as massive spending but still have very large deficits and expands defense spending. Adding $4-5T to the debt is not a serious plan

Why do you continue to pretend this is a team sport when all are essentially wearing the same jersey. Almost no one wants real cuts and the ones that do are an enemy to the current admin. That should tell you something but it seems to not matter

I don't agree with your premise but I do agree that there are far too few fiscal conservatives in Congress. Voters looking for fiscal conservatives have nowhere to go. The deficit is one of three major issues that Congress refuses to address. The other two are health care and immigration reform. It's why Congress sucks and their approval numbers reflect this. I agree that both parties are largely wearing the same jersey where it comes to spending but Republicans are the lesser of the two evils

Were I writing this bill I'd:

1) Raise the age of SS
2) Cut the Defense budget by 10-20%
3) Raise taxes on the top bracket (or let the Trump tax cut expire on them)
4) Add another bracket for folks making over $1mill/yr

These are the kinds of things that really need to be considered 'cause we're in trouble financing this debt

BREAKING NEWS: Trump signs bombshell Travel Ban restricting people from 19 countries from entering the US

President Donald Trump has banned visitors from 12 countries from entering the United States and partially restricted travelers from seven other nations.

The move is the latest in Trump's efforts to secure America's borders after a Colorado terror attack in which an Egyptian national who overstayed his visa allegedly set people alight at a pro-Israel demonstration.

Nationals of Afghanistan, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen will be barred from entering the United States under the new proclamation.

Further to that ban, citizens of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela will be partially restricted from traveling.

Mohamed Soliman, who had overstayed his visa and was residing in the US illegally, is now in custody accused of firebombing a group as they gathered to honor the hostages still trapped in Gaza by Hamas militants.

During his first term in office, Trump announced a ban on travelers from seven majority-Muslim nations, a policy that went through several iterations before it was upheld by the Supreme Court in 2018.

Saudi Arabia was the home of terrorist responsible for 9/11. No travel ban on them and Republicans don't even ask why not.

because you don't vote for them. Huff already brought up a name, Chase Oliver. I only found out about him super late, I bet most never even heard of him.

if you voted for Trump the second time you have no excuse to hide behind if the budget is one of your big ticket items. he increased the deficit dramatically his first term, even before Covid, and in the 2020 election he promised to spend even more. but he throws out some red meat, like DOGE, and most people think he fixed something.

Obviously you have no reading comprehension skills. Nowhere does that say anything about praising Trump’s policies. An EO could be “significant” to somebody for many reasons. In your case, they’re all significant to you because you have TDS, and you despise them all. In order to land a job in the Trump administration, though, you’d have to explain how you will help implement those policies. As I said before, the administration has the nerve to institute hiring policies to try to weed out backstabbing liberals that would do nothing but attempt to undermine the administration's goals. What a radical concept!
So you believe critical comments would help you land a job ?? Remember we are talking about thin skin don

It had been such a huge success in the almost 70 years it’s existed. Definitely not wasteful and full of fraud at all. Those trannie comic books, dei programs, feeding al-quaeda, etc were all definitely detrimental to helping develop sh**hole countries.
1 dei is not a bad thing or maybe you deny slavery or prejudices against minorities

2 feeding al queada was not the Intent of usaid but you keep up the propaganda

Not only was deadly famines prevented but american farmers had a market. Now that USAID has ended and tarrifs will halt grain sells to other nations, a lot of farmers will bankrupt.

As for prejudices, your sh☆☆t hole country comment identifies you as a KKK wannabe

I went thru it during the election. He was just an Obama era progressive and never really a serious candidate. Covid, gender affirming care, blm, etc. I just have a hard time with someone who has a while lot of terrible personal views but then realizes they need to add the "but I don't want the govt to do it" qualifier. Never seems genuine and neither did he.

The bad's been a small part of the whole. USAID's been a tool for a tremendous amount of good through the years. Shutting it down is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Why can't the trump crowd realize humanitarian aid fosters good will? Now our enemies can move in and inherit the good will, then more America hating countries will pop up. Seems some people think bombs will bring them around to loving America

Interesting. His platform doesn't even mention the culture war or anything like that. I remember looking for that specifically.

is some of the good will we bought in the room with us now?

what nation was going to bat for us with the good will USAID bought us? the only "good will" it bought was via bribes, and that was only going to last as long as the bribes did.

What did you accomplish by voting for a guy who got 2% of the Senate vote in Georgia? I won't even go into what he got in the Presidential vote. He was an insignificant player in the Presidential election. You might as well have written in George Washington.

You're making my point. Fiscal conservatives had nowhere to turn 'cause neither Trump nor Kamala were fiscal conservatives. Even if they were there's precious few in Congress

Can't argue that this isn't a libertarian position. @utvolpj it's cool if you aren't on board with this, but you had me spooked there for a second that I didn't vote for a libertarian.

Off the top of my head there's Massie, Davidson, Paul, Ron Johnson...Probably a few more. The GOP will likely put up enough resistance that this bill will be pared down somewhat. What pressure is there from Dems to pare this down?

BS. Paul and Johnson have voted FOR the largest deficit creating bills in Ameican history....

They talk a game but like Cassidy and Hawley, they get on their knees and kiss the ring when it comes to spending money we dont have.....

DEI is definitely a bad thing because it discriminates based upon race and sex. Why would you support such discrimination?

I find myself liking DEI less and less all the time when those that cheer on that garbage try to rationalize it.

They're on an island. They need more support

Sen Paul has a long history of fiscally conservative voting

Suppose a recent HS graduate goes to tech school rather than college. They obtain their degree in 2 years and join the work force at 20. You expect them to work in their trade for nearly 50 years before being eligible for SS?

For the record, I agree with items 2,3 and 4
