Equitable cuts has already been law with the FRA and the deficits are as high as ever. Seems the Repubs sacrificed defense, for what Dem reductions?

That's his point. All it did was let Trump one day beat his cheat about cutting spending, then the next day demand a bill that... increases spending.

Fact is, I see no way the government ever seriously take on the debt. The Dems won't do it and every 6 to 8 years get whalloped in elections and Republicans sweep. .... .... only to then increase the debt themselves.
