So are we now guaranteed home field since our worst ranking would be 8? How do they rank the teams outside of the top 16. I guess we play UCLA is LSU wins but if LSU loses we would play the best non top 16 team? Trying to understand how this thing works.

I’ll disagree. USM has been whining for years about Tn baseball. Even this year they had their nose out of joint that Tn got a higher seed. I’d love to see them lose a home regional

That’s not how it works. They don’t reseed. You play whatever the bracket dictates.

Yup. Just read how it works on Wiki.#3 regional is paired with #14 so the winners play each other. Get it now. Too bad we weren’t paired with a regional with an upset winner. Thanks for explaining and the other posters above who explained.

Most embarrassing postseason showing in conference history imo. Arkansas feels like the best team but there are some ACC schools that might have a better path to winning it all.
