Is Myatt committed to Tennessee? We might be developing a farm team at Walters State...lol!
Walters State's Tyler Myatt won NJCAA Division I Baseball's Triple Crown, leading the nation in batting average (.484), home runs (31) and RBIs (110).
Myatt was also named the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association player of the year alongside pitcher Aiden Robertson, who was named pitcher of the year and Dave Shelton was awarded coach of the year.
I've seen him listed at 6-0 several places, but he may be shorter. He looks built similar to Drew Gilbert, who is 5-9, but still effective. You may be correct positionally, though. He's listed as a 3B, but mostly DH'd for WSU. Is he someone you have to hide in the field or strictly DH? If so, that obviously lowers his value.I think he is really shorter. Plus, he doesn't truly play a position...right?
Several little things working against him. But we will see.
Definitely pounded the rock this year.
Right, that was my thinking as well.I've seen him listed at 6-0 several places, but he may be shorter. He looks built similar to Drew Gilbert, who is 5-9, but still effective. It would be interesting to know who he has offers from.Right, that was my thinking as well.
Plus, unsure of age.
But that general line of thought is if you probably only get him for one year, Drew Gilbert size, mostly DH...not typical of a CTV scholly.
To be fair, CTV is selecting from cream of crop from all across the country. Very tough to make the cut.
