No it isn’t a coin flip. TN will be home team:Goes to a coin flip which is beyond dumb.
Who have we got?No idea who the heck we are going to throw tomorrow. I guess it has to be Kuhns but not sure how you can have any faith he can lock down an elite offense with how he’s pitched lately.
I expect Wake to dig deep into their staff and find a junk baller that no one has heard of for tomorrow. He'll pitch the game of his life. That was a head scratcher, that last inning was brutal. I refuse to let visions of Notre Dame enter my mind. We should hit better tomorrow. I’m not sure about pitching.
He won’t pitch…he threw 111 pitches Friday night.Yeah but none of those arms inspire confidence right now. Wake is going to start their ace Morningstar and will have him throw 100 more pitches if they have to because that staff typically doesn’t care about pitch count or kid’s future.
It wasn’t that long ago that was the case. I threw every 2-3 days when I was like 12 and that was only 17 years ago.I get it. But at the same time, I feel like it short changes the program.
I’m not advocating throwing Doyle for 100+ tomorrow, but if the situation calls for it, we should be able to use what we need to advance. I guess the game has passed me by for thinking this way.
Same when I was playing. I might have started a game 1 and by game 3, they were throwing me in relief as needed (granted, I wasn’t near the talent of these guys). Was normal then, but it’s changed (at least for the best arms). It wasn’t that long ago that was the case. I threw every 2-3 days when I was like 12 and that was only 17 years ago.
