I wish I could have watched Rice in his prime but he was before my time. Though I will say I did watch him dominate with the Raiders at 40 years old. He might be the great outlier. The all-time great without all-time great measurables.

With that said the other 3 best wide receivers of all-time IMO are Moss, Owens, and Calvin Johnson and those 3 were freakish athletes that checked all the boxes when it comes to size and speed.

I think he's got a far better chance than Smith because of his game breaking speed. As you mentioned they have a long way to go but if I'm gonna bet on either one I'll bet on the one with the elite speed.

Jerry Rice accelerated out of breaks unlike any wide receiver in the game. That is how he created separation despite not having top end speed. That having been said, he was very rarely ever run down from behind either.

Kensucky fans are funny....

Periodically I check out the WildcatLair forum just to see where their heads at. They have a thread discussing their 2026 recruiting - they currently have 1 commit, a low four star in-state offensive lineman with a mediocre offer list, and those mouth breathers are claiming its another big time win for Vince Marrow and how they really think they're going to have a good class this year.

It's June (tomorrow). Your only commit is an in state lineman who's best offers came before his junior year, and his only recent offers are a bunch of refrigerator colleges.

Good luck landing a quality class as Stoops and his walking diabetes clown Marrow "lead" you to 4 wins. Hashtag Losingest Coach In Kensucky History.

I will never not hate Kensucky.

Lady Vols can absolutely win the whole thing this year. Here's their record against remaining WCWS teams:

Oregon L 0-1 8inn. (Neutral Site - California)
UCLA L 3-4 (Neutral Site - California)
at Oklahoma W 5-2 8inn.
at Oklahoma L 1-4
at Oklahoma W 5-3
Oklahoma L 3-4 (Neutral Site - Oklahoma)
at Texas L 0-3
at Texas W 3-1
at Texas W 4-1

Not to mention winning record over Ole Miss (eliminated) and they just clobbered Florida.

Tomorrow they'll play the loser of today's Texas Tech vs UCLA game. Then they'll play the winner of Oklahoma and Texas who they'll have to beat twice.
