When I had season tickets from 2015-17 it was $300 a year and I could go to any baseball game I wanted for a can of beans.

Winning naturally changed that but the baseball ticket prices are obscene and no one can convince me otherwise. None of the blue bloods of the sport charge even half what we do.

Just like costs for many other things, I'm very picky about what I'm willing to pay. Hotels well over $100 a night? Nope. Airfare over $400? Yikes. Tickets, depending on the event, over $100? I'll watch on TV. And a pickup for 100,000? Are you kidding me? Get outta here.

I don't like the fact that many working families are now priced out of going to games (especially football). You get a whole different vibe without them.

football still feels the same to me, but I have always sat in the south endzone upper deck with the “poors”

Baseball is radically different from what it was when I went to games in 21-22. The “nastiness” tony talked about isn’t there anymore. I think his constant beef with the fans nowadays has more to do with that than any jeering from drunks. I don’t know that he realizes that they have the TBA wine and cheese crowd now, not the drunk frat kids and blue collar rowdies

I can't remember the last hotel room I saw under $100. You must not travel to larger cities often?

The cost of being revelent again... Would you rather go 6-6 and pay less or be a playoff worthy team and pay a little more...ADDW is a business man as well as a AD...

Love Basil Hayden. It’s what I put in my mini-cask. Looking to do some Three Roses next and try the Chattanooga that Forbes article endorsed Would love a Fabian’s subscription for Father’s Day…but wouldn’t ask for $40 a month as a gift. Maybe my daughter could do the first month and let me take over out of sight of the wife? 😉

Info on Miami, OH from Matt Dixon on Tony B website.

Won the MAC regular season and conference tournament. Didn’t lose a series in league play this season. First NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005.

Rank in the top four in the MAC across the board, both hitting and pitching. They’ve drawn the 12th most walks (333) nationally. They only have 44 stolen bases on the season, which presented Tennessee the opportunity to throw Marcus Phillips on Friday but the Vols elected to keep the normal rotation and pitch ace Liam Doyle.

Miami University has a 30-point higher batting average vs left-handed pitchers this season with an OPS of .979. Obviously Doyle will be the biggest challenge they’ve faced as no MAC pitchers routinely throw upper 90s for strikes.

Tennessee will likely see the RedHawks’ ace in RHP Cooper Katskee (#32). The MAC pitcher of the year is a transfer from Indiana. He’s 3rd nationally with 11 wins and is 11-1 on the season with a 2.66 ERA in 81.1 innings. He has a 21.4% strikeout rate and just an 8.1% walk rate. Righties (.187 BAA) and lefties (.185) have similar numbers vs him. He'll throw a low-to-mid 90s fastball and pairs it with a good curveball he can throw both for strikes and as a chase pitch. He’ll occasionally mix in a slider and changeup. Its worth noting that he’s coming off a complete game in the MAC Tournament where he threw 125 pitches last Saturday, giving up just one run on five hits against Kent State.
