President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I just quoted it above you. Read the last paragraph.

And you do not have a right to a writ. You have a right to petition. If the judge sees a legal reason to grant your petition, the judge writes a writ. If not, you never get a writ.
We are basically at the point of arguing procedural items. If a petition is issued and crosses the bar the motion to challenge will be heard. I believe that is actually a low bar. The higher bar is to prevail on your challenge to grant release. Yes those are majority rejected from what I understand.

Your final sentence in your first post that I responded to I agree with. It shouldn’t add any lengthy procedural timeline so just go ahead and hear the petition and apply the process.

New ruling out. Essentially all Trump tariffs enjoined by trade court. WH says its a judicial coup.

Two of the three judges were appointed by Republican presidents. One of them appointed by Trump himself.
it is judicial overreach..that will be overturned..every President had tariffs.

Federal trade court blocks Trump from imposing sweeping tariffs under emergency powers law

“The Worldwide and Retaliatory Tariff Orders exceed any authority granted to the President by IEEPA to regulate importation by means of tariffs,” the court wrote, referring to the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

Some of you really would believe anything that Donald Trump says. For those of you who are interested in the facts of the Gretchen Whitmer attempted kidnapping case :

Two of the men convicted in the alleged plot to kidnap Michigan's Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, not only testified under oath to the guilt of their co-conspirators, but they also testified in specific details to their own guilt as well, and they even included their motives in their testimonies.

Will those men be getting pardons too? .... and how is that being "rail-roaded?" As is often the case, Donald Trump is being petty and vindictive here.

This is Trump's way of lashing out at Gretchen Whitmer, because he thinks she owes him something, and that she is acting ungrateful. In April, and with Trump's approval, Gov. Whitmer was able to secure a new F15-EX Fighter Mission for Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Macomb County, Michigan. However, Gov. Whitmer took a lot of grief from Democrats for hugging Trump in the Oval Office when these plans were announced. Since then, Gretchen Whitmer has been trying to compensate for that, and get back in the good graces of the Democratic Party leadership, with publicly stated criticism of Donald Trump on various issues, including immigration.

Donald Trump views such acts as "disloyal" and "ungrateful." These pardons are his way of getting revenge, which is always a part of his agenda.

Don't you know? Literally, anyone convicted of a crime, between 1/20/2021 and 1/20/2025 was railroaded, and is in fact innocent of all charges.

Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows the president to enact temporary tariffs to address “large and serious United States balance-of-payments deficits” or certain other situations that present "fundamental international payments problems; and Section 338 of Tariff Act of 1930, which authorizes the president to enact “tariffs on articles produced by, or imported on the vessels of, foreign countries that discriminate against U.S. commerce in certain ways,” have not yet been used.

Ultimately, Congress can limit or expand the presidential tariffs powers through legislation, but the CRS concludes that based on precedents dating back to the time of Chief Justice Marshall, judicial precedent “has given the President broad latitude to exercise his tariff authorities.”

I don't agree with it but I understand it.

🚨BREAKING: In a sweeping new ruling, the U.S. Court of International Trade has just blocked President Trump's Liberation Day tariffs, saying that authority is with Congress.

With activist judges, what is even the point of having a president?!

FACT CHECK: While the Constitution grants Congress the power to impose tariffs, Congress delegated much of that power to the Executive Branch in the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, which allows for adjustments to tariff rates without needing Congressional action. Courts have given the executive branch broad authority to negotiate trade, that is until now.

I was furloughed shortly after COVID .... and later offered a position at a branch on Chapman Highway, which does much less business volume than the branch that I had worked at on Kingston Pike for over 10 years. I declined.

It was early in the Biden Administration period of high inflation to be more exact.

I remember because I messed with you about voting for Joe and then this happens.

Absolutely 100% the right ruling. The "emergency" was flimsy BS and a huge overstep....

That 3 judge panel is comprised of :

1) Judge Jane Restani - appointed by President Ronald Reagan

2) Judge Gary Katzmann - appointed by President Barack Obama

3) Judge Timothy Reif - appointed by President Donald Trump

Their vote was 3-0 to block the tariffs from being imposed.

Oops!

Yep. For the 1st time in modern history most Americans support the president and the direction the country is headed...so of course the dirtbag Liberal judges are conspiring to block as many of his actions as possible. Of course the Liberal media, which makes up the overwhelming majority of broadcast media (ABC, NBC. CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, etc) oppose everything he says or does...despite the fact that their ratings are absolute garbage because the majority of Americans do not share their views. Of course the Dimwit Party has chosen to double down on their extremely unpopular ideas such as identitiy politics, trans nonsense, anti-gun rhetoric, boys in girls sports.

Makes perfect sense. Their Liberal "platform" if you can even call a lack of ideas or strategy a platform, was soundly rejected in November in the executive branch AND both houses of Congress...the majority of American people clearly support the opposite of their positions...so just keep parroting the same stupid lies and nonsense. The only REAL pushback most folks have on the current administration is that they havent deported ENOUGH people yet. They havent cut ENOUGH of the programs and theft that DOGE has revealed (which is on Congress, not Trump but people are ignorant) They havent cancelled ENOUGH of the DEI nonsense and trans related bullcrap. They havent undone ENOUGH of the damage that the Biden/Obama administrations did to this country.

How low do ratings have to go before TV idiots change their positions? How many Democrats have to lose elections before the party realizes they have been kidnapped by the Marxist and Globalist ideas that people in the US reject? How much failure and embarrassment will the remaining Dimwit voters accept before they demand change? People left that party in droves during the Biden administration because all he did was humiliate this country.

I hope the Leftist idiots continue to double down on the same stupid ideas. They will continue to lose elections and maybe, just maybe, we can have sane leadership instead of Tranny story hour in kindergarten at public schools. Absolutely ridiculous.
