President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

If you are able to read, you know the bill does exactly that.

As for your money if you're wishing to kill off innocents, quit supporting runaway defense spending and make your contributions directly to the taliban. As for me I would try gaining good will thru food and health programs.BTW where do you think the give away grain is produced?
Yes, gut defensive spending. Also, cut foreign aid to zero. Foreign aid should be the first item on the chopping block always

Very unpopular opinion. People 65+ are not a demographic I have a ton of empathy for. You’ve had decades to save and plan. Many have done none of that.

I’m also not convinced 65 is some magical age at which the body breaks down and you should simply get to be a ward of the state (or your former employer) until you die.

Unless you’ve destroyed your body (diabetes, HTN, smoking, morbid obesity, etc) nearly everyone should be capable of working well
beyond 65.

I do have slightly more empathy the further back you go (people retiring in 1960 would’ve understood less about health consequences and less about the need to save). Given how acceptable such information is now, I’ll have less empathy for future generations of 65+
You have to remember that 65 was established as the full retirement age when the Social Security Act was passed in 1935. The average life expectancy for all races in the United States in 1935, was only 62 years.

For white males, it was 61 years, and for white females it was 65 years. For African American males it was only 52 years, and for African American females it was 56 years.

Also, you have to remember that in 1935, the percentage of manual labor jobs in the American workforce, was considerably higher than it is today. Most bodies may not be breaking down at 65 today, but nowhere near as many people are working their butts off in factories and coal mines either.

65 may seem too young to be a normal retirement age now, but in 1935? If anything, it was too old.

I'm just pointing out that the fact-checking of JD Vance's heritage is probably in retaliation for Donald Trump's attacks on Kamala Harris last July. I'm not saying that makes it right, but that's how politics are played nowadays.
If a politician builds a public persona using a certain ethnic group's shared struggles, values, whatever, is it wrong to confirm he or she is related to that group?
Do they get a pass if they incorrectly but sincerely believe that they're related?

They should get a pass, if they had every reason to believe what they were saying was truthful, but they had simply made an honest mistake.

"Alfredo Garcia from Brownsville, Texas" has every reason to believe that he is of Mexican descent. If by some unlikelihood, he is mistaken? Yes, he gets a pass.

.... and also gets to keep his head.

^^^^ I'm curious to see if anyone gets this reference. Great movie. ^^^^

No question, far worse than Watergate and maybe the worse ever.

Democracy at work for the Dems. Unelected Cabal running our country.

SHANNON BREAM: You quote a long-time Biden aide basically admitting he shouldn’t be running again. They said to you on page 85, ‘He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while. His aides could pick up the slack.’ Who would have been running the White House in a second Biden term?

ALEX THOMPSON: Well, this person went on to say that when you’re voting for a president, you’re voting for the aides around him. But these aides were not even Senate-confirmed aides. These are White House aides. These were unelected people. And one of the things that really I think comes out in our reporting here is that if you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy — you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things, which I think is what this person is talking about.

Jake Tapper was himself a huge player in the coverup.

So we agree it should be increased? Didn’t expect that

Talking heads, needing an audience

Poor analogy, you can read this one on your own. And it's pretty plain what the intent is, damn the poor help the rich

Lmfao. Let’s assume you’re actually right. Let’s assume they’re cutting both SS and Medicare and giving major tax breaks for the wealthy.

If so, are we not in agreement that SS and Medicare both need to be cut? Or do you live in a fantasy land?

As far as taxes, we have one of the most progressive tax systems in the world. Most of the European countries leftist admire and will ask “why can’t we pay for x like they do” have their highest tax bracket starting at middle class incomes
