War in Ukraine

Here let me give you the short version. NONE OF THAT MATTERS.

My take is... the good guys will win. We will see who the good guys are in time i.e. winner. The Truth eventually is known to all, sometimes it take a day or in the case of Afghanistan 20 years to determine the ultimate winner. The goat herders continue to be the ultimate good guys, clearly they were fighting evil.

This conflict will go down with the rest, like nobody wants to talk about the stupid face diaper mandates... never happened. Rinse and repeat somewhere else. We should probably circle back around to Vietnam is the bad guys.

I am all for USA getting out of this mess and trying to get peace but to say Russia is the good guy is insane. War would end if Russia would end it. This is all about Russia trying to take back lands that were formerly part of them, likely because their economy wasn't going well prior to war. When dictators face domestic trouble, their main recourse is to start a war or distract with external enemy.

We're all so surprised with Putin recently. It's so very unlike what he's been doing in Ukraine the last few years and other countries before that.

Surprised because he's only attended 12 security briefings in the last 100+ days, or because he's a Putin sycophant?

Take, your pick, the outcome is the same for either.

Still took the opportunity to sh!t on Zelensky for defending his country from Putin's attempted genocide. Trump is such a pathetic coward.
People who **** on Zelensky make no sense. He sucks bc he's asking for help? For money? For arms? He is trying to save his country. They dont have to want to help him. The demonization is absurd.

But he'll bring the full power of American law enforcement down on a Muslim girl for an op-ed that harms no one. But Putin and his terrorism ... he's just "not happy." All this p*ssy-*ss b*tch can do is punch down.
Troll... on... still angry I see...

‘A very easy negotiation’

MARCH 2023: “There’s a very easy negotiation to take place. But I don’t want to tell you what it is because then I can’t use that negotiation; it’ll never work,” Trump told Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity, claiming that he could “solve” the war “in 24 hours” if he were back in the White House.

“But it’s a very easy negotiation to take place. I will have it solved within one day, a peace between them,” Trump said of the war, which at that point had been ongoing for more than a year since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

MAY 2023: “They’re dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours,” Trump said during a town hall on CNN.

JULY 2024: When asked to respond to Trump’s one-day claim, Russia’s United Nations Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia told reporters that “the Ukrainian crisis cannot be solved in one day.” Afterward, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said that “a top priority in his second term will be to quickly negotiate an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.”

AUGUST 2024: “Before I even arrive at the Oval Office, shortly after I win the presidency, I will have the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine settled,” Trump told a National Guard Conference. “I’ll get it settled very fast. I don’t want you guys going over there. I don’t want you going over there.”

Ukraine free to strike any Russian military facility after West lifts all range restrictions, Germany says

The West has lifted all range restrictions on the weapons delivered to Ukraine, freeing the war-torn country to strike at any Russian military target across the border, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Monday.

Following Moscow’s third-consecutive overnight aerial barrage against Ukraine, Merz called it necessary that the US, France, Germany and the UK allow Kyiv the use of long-range weapons to stop Russian President Vladimir Putin from “ruthlessly bombing cities, kindergartens, hospitals and care homes.”

“We will do everything in our power to continue supporting Ukraine,” Mertz said in a statement. “This also means no longer having any range restrictions on the weapons we supply.

The order came after Moscow fired yet another large volley of more than 300 missiles and drones overnight.

But given Putin’s repeated slow walking of cease-fire talks and ramped up attacks on Ukraine, Merz said the West has effectively “exhausted all the diplomatic means available.”

Russia suggests Trump has ‘emotional overload’ after calling Putin ‘crazy’ over Ukraine attacks

Russia on Monday suggested President Trump is suffering from “emotional overload” after the commander-in-chief blasted Russian President Vladimir Putin as “crazy” for his escalating attacks on Ukraine.

“We are really grateful to the Americans and to President Trump personally for their assistance in organizing and launching this negotiation process,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said when asked about Trump’s earlier criticism of Putin.

“Of course, at the same time, this is a very crucial moment, which is associated, of course, with the emotional overload of everyone absolutely and with emotional reactions.”

Trump declared late Sunday that Putin had “gone absolutely CRAZY” by unleashing its biggest bombing campaign yet on Ukraine — just one week after assuring that peace talks would start “immediately.”

This is fairly significant. Another slow walk situation, but better late than never.

And where are the Taurus missiles, Germany? Mhmmm.

What if the Cubans had launched Russian missiles into US, relying on Russian tech and experts (but it wasn’t Russia, you see)? Would it have been provoked or unprovoked after the US-organized “unprovoked” invasion? OK for Russia to aim to admit Cuba to the Warsaw Pact — not even on our very border — but only a few dozen miles away? Then, say, Russia or an ally upgraded them from mid to long range missiles?

Would the proper response in your view have been to nuke Cuba? Or Moscow? Or both? You send bombers at Cuba and they are provoked to launch their whole store.

And you are really cheering Germany making war on Russia yet again? Would you support all out nuclear war if Russia responded by launching at Berlin? Because I gather from your cheerleading that’s what you would wish if we were dealt with that way by the former Nazi regime.

Back in the day, Russia could win a land war in East Europe. They never dared because our policy was to respond with nukes. Was that justified in your opinion? Or immoral? since you are such a band of (one sided) moralists.

I’m wondering because Russia can no longer win a land war against NATO.

Comparing the Bay of Pigs to Russia sending hundreds of thousands of troops into Ukraine is really a stretch.
