President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Wrong. I never said that he didn't have the legal right ... to the contrary, I said that he could impose those tariffs.

Because that is the norm, when dealing with American companies. If he wants them to manufacture their products in the United States, then our government should provide positive incentives for Apple to do so. Trump has instead gone to the lengths of publicly threatening their CEO with vindictive tariffs.

Now, you are just lying. I plainly said that Trump could apply his stupid tariffs, and that is how I even said it too.

Finally, this is also where Trump's hypocrisy is highly relevant. Trump made it clear on Letterman's show that he doesn't see anything wrong with a company outsourcing their manufacturing overseas. That makes Trump more than just a hypocrite now. It makes him a dishonest broker.
What incentives do you suggest??? Do you even realize that less then half of apple sales are in the Americas...55% are overseas..so what incentives do you provide for a company selling the majority of their product overseas and producing it there as well?

The USG picks winners and losers every day thru tariffs, grants, subsidies, aquisition or merger aporovals, or just plain fallout from policy decisions.

If it's not possible to get Apple and other American mobile telecommunications companies to move their manufacturing jobs/facilities to the United States without imposing damages upon those companies?

Then you leave well-enough alone, and allow those companies to manufacture their products in countries where it is most financially and competitively prudent for them to do so.

The United States does not have to be a manufacturing colossus in order to have a vibrant and prosperous economy at near full-employment.

If you believe otherwise, then you are likely caught up in American nostalgia for the 40's and 50's. It is archaic thinking. That is not who we are anymore, and that is actually a good thing. Times change, and thriving American industries, have evolved with their changing landscape.

Turns out it's a 25% tariff on cellphones and isn't targeted at any one company.

Do you people have an aversion to the truth? I get tired of this crap.

Not only did Kamala Harris not call Joe Biden a racist during the 2019 Democratic Party Primary debate that you are obviously referencing, she even took the extra step of saying, "I don't think you're a racist," or something very close to that. If you disagree with me on that, I will post a link to it. I have done that before, and you are dead wrong. I really don't even care anything about it .... but it amazes me how you think you can get away with lying. Do you think you are Trump or something? LOL.
She did say that she didn't think he was a racist but he backed racist policies. That is my interpretation anyways.

Based on his original truth, that's what it read like.

He clarified it several hours later to include all cell phones made abroad....
So, just out of curiosity, had you read the clarification when you posted the below?

Picking and choosing certain companies within an industry but excluding others....

Funny how the Qatar gift has drifted. I haven't seen an adequate explanation justifying that moronic decision from the administration. The fealty and submission to the Donald is pathetic
