That's racist!

I say we for the Vols, too, bro. It's my team

And here I was wanting to hitch a ride with my trusty sports almanac...but I don't see how feeling an iota of shame or admitting an ounce of culpability for something morally wrong done by people who lived in the same general area as me (albeit over 150 years ago), just as I wouldn't expect (for example) someone of African descent to feel shame or feel responsible for some of their ancestral forebears selling human beings to some pale guys on large sailing ships.

Some regret for the way society was at that time, but there's nothing I can do to change what's in the past. Besides, my mother's side of the family were dirt poor farmers, so slave ownership for them was out of the question.

People should be treated with respect, kindness and simple courtesy goes along way.
Incredibly underrated post.

What is even your point?

Asian Americans, who by and large voluntarily decided that they wanted to be immigrants and face all that are a completely different sampling of people than those who were captured and brought to a new continent and sold into slavery, or were born into slavery, or came from it. It sucks that they've faced internment, and exploitative labor, but that is nothing in comparison to generations of slavery.

In American history, by far, blacks and Native Americans are the most ****ed. It's not even close. Who is on the bottom in America today? Asian Americans? Italian Americans? Irish Americans? German Americans? Indian Americans? Black Americans? Native Americans? You notice any coincidences?

My point was related to my OP. As for your ranking system, looks like Native Americans are on the bottom and Black Americans are not.

Bro, you are lying to yourself if you think people don't wanna confront the past. Merely admitting that slavery is wrong doesn't mean people are comfortable confronting the past. In fact, that's often used as a tactic so the confrontation can be skipped.

We literally have a presidential admin that whitewashed Jackie Robinson's story because they don't want to confront our past, and this is specifically the kind of thing that helped Trump rise to power.
Entitled politicians helped him rise. The race baiting is media driven division

Absurd as usual. They don’t want to confront the past. They want to pick a convenient point in history to place blame for monetary gain. That’s it! Make sure to get your juneteenth fireworks.

I disagree with your position on black fatigue and now I'm suddenly one of those people, that's what you're implying.

SMH. I'm not surprised you pulled that card.
No, I'm saying that not a single person on this MAGA-leaning board except for you is even attempting to argue that black fatigue is anything other than wildly racist, so it's a waste of time arguing with the one stubborn person on the fringe.

But hey, you might be onto something considering who you're agreeing with. This lady made it up to justify calling a child a n****r

they* whitewashed jackie robinson because they relied on an unsophisticated tool that caught various key words in his story. not because they were trying to white wash Jackie Robinsons story.

what do you mean by "confront the past" then? again if the confrontation starts at a conversation about reparations, thats a non-starter for more than racists no wanting to confront the past.

Then why on earth do you feel pride about the good stuff? This is cognitive dissonance. You're just explaining that you've convinced yourself to live with cognitive dissonance

What was the motive behind using the tool? Lol

People don't even want critical race theory taught to high schoolers. That's one way we demonstrate how uncomfortable we are in confronting the past.

The most oppressed 2 groups are on the bottom, duh. IDK who of the two is on the very bottom, and if that's what you're thinking about, then you completely missed the point.

Um...where, in my post to which you responded, did I mention a damned thing about pride? Were you intending to reply to someone else, by chance?

They were using AI to try an pull anything specific to the DEI practices from the last couple decades. and either were sloppy with their use of the tool, or the tool itself was incapable of distinguishing between DEI and places where any minority related items were addressed. I assign it more to Trump, and his admin's, dumbness of doing something to say they did something, without it being a particular motive/goal to cause the specific issues that arise from their fire, ready, aim strategy.

CRT goes beyond the history of USA's dirty past. and typically its not seen as an "and" to those history classes, its taught instead of. usually its presented in just as slanted of a version of history as the whitewashed history is. which doesn't make it an improvement.

Yes, smart people like you are the ones who argue in favor of calling a child a n****r instead. Spare me

Give it a rest already and stop trying to label everyone else a racist. Most of those in this thread, including myself have called that lady out for her behavior and have said she’s a POS, several times over.

You keep inserting this same quote of yours, over and over in response to quite a few posts, knowing damn well the individual hasn’t made a post in anyway agreeing with it. So you just throw 💩 to the wall and see if it sticks.

Try a different approach sometime, other than that of a militant black man that believes everyone conservative is a racist.

OK. Has nothing to do with the point
Does the * give you permission to freely to type it out?
It depends on whether the word ends in "a" or "er" because to Libs that's a huge distinction. Even though Sista & Sister and Brotha & Brother... apparently, the "N" word has different connotations depending on the last letters.

The right wing bastardization of "Black fatigue" is by definition racist and was started by a racist saying racist things, might as well own that instead of being a coward about it. Show me where I said "everyone conservative" is a racist, right after you show me how being tired of black people isn't racist, which I asked you several posts ago

You’re implying it towards everyone when you repeat the same quote, over and over to specific posters.

This black fatigue has nothing to do with being tired of black people. I have never said that and you’re lying if you claim I did. The issue is with the ghetto toxic behavior that’s been represented and celebrated to some degree.

I posted links from others (other blacks calling out the same behavior) and your response is they’re just self hating, David Clark wannabes. Seriously? For wanting to take care of one’s community and neighbors, culture, etc. and are viewed as traitors for doing so? That’s one seriously warped POV.

It’s not racism to call out bad behavior of other races. At least not from my perspective.

What does being tired of "ghetto toxic behavior" have to do with Black people? Are Black people the one race that's "toxic"?

If you want to talk about warped POVs, the idea that a clearly racist thing isn't racist because one (1) Black person signed off on it is a very obvious warped POV
