I think we're just trying to understand the thought process there. Arvy squeaked out of the 9th, you're up 1, use a fresh arm OR if Arvy gets one on after missing a couple pitches go to a fresh arm OR after he airmails a throw to first get a fresh arm.

The bullpen has been iffy, you have possible two more games. Leaving him in was the right call in my oppinnon.

And I get that part of the fan experience is to backseat driver this thing but TV has taken the Vols to Omaha 3 of the last 4 years, lost in supers the other year and is literally the reigning national champion HC. If that guy hasn’t earned all the grace from the fanbase then what are we even doing.

Kirby’s dad posted about Curley in the BB forum a couple of days ago. He said TV is a player’s coach and great recruiter for a reason. He is patient and has let players work through issues the last few years. He also said the poor throw was more timing than throw and that Curley is used to having to get it out quicker across the diamond.

Most major league managers pull their pitchers when they lead the game and their pitcher, who has pitched twice the number of pitches he has ever pitched in the league, began to lose it. You do it for two reason, win the ball game, and not injure the pitchers arm. You want to be able to use that pitcher again in a couple of days, especially with the "stuff" Arvidson had last night, in the next 2/3 days. He was tired. His pitches were in the dirt , high, and at a slower speed. CTV even mention that he probably left him in too long.

It's worth noting and keeping in mind that we don't have a single infielder regularly playing at their "natural" position, meaning the one at which they played most of their careers to this point. We're young and out of position and what we're seeing is the natural result of that. Fans are used to seeing "routine" plays be routine and we're seeing some bizarre errors at inopportune moments, the fan reaction is a natural one. Only answer is to work through it and hope we win because winning cures most all ills.

I’m not calling it a lock as CJH has forgotten more football than I know and I believe he will play whoever gives us the best shot at winning. Just saying both those guys appear so gifted that if Brazzell has the dropsies this season the staff may decide to give a young guy more opportunities. Competition is a good thing. JMO, TIFWIW

Brazzell is working hard, its all clicking according to Brazzell. We'll see. He is the 'leader' in the room.

He isnt very big. And is injury prone (it seems), I dunno. Dont have a great feeling about that room, today.

If you actually have any live ones, they will come out of the woodwork and flock to the diatomaceous earth as soon as it gets dark. That is our experience anyway.

Ive worked in places, yes, worked that had cockroaches. Once they're in, they're in. Probably came in some old restaurant equipment, or electrical panels.

Wonder if bug spray actually works?

Interesting….if you watch him yesterday, I noticed how quick his transfer/throw was. Much quicker than a traditional 2nd baseman. Maybe that will help him! If so, kudos to CT for recognizing this.

Maybe as he gains confidence, it will help his offense. We are going to need mid/lower lineup to come thru.

Did fans have the knee jerk reactions last season when Billy Amick and Christian Moore were making errors during games? I don't believe so because the offensive numbers that Tennessee put up last season caused fans to overlook the same issues last season.
