On the Curley topic, he isn't the first or last to get the Yips. I watched Steve Sax play 2nd base for the Dodgers for 8 seasons it was an adventure everytime Sax fielded a ground ball. I just hoped he didn't throw it into the stands.

But... yeah, it was rotten. I didn't respect Fulmer after the whole thing with Majors. And when he hired Pruitt (the Anti-VOL), my disgust for Fulmer really kicked back up. I've got mixed feelings about Philip Fulmer

I kinda do too. I appreciate and respect what he accomplished. IMO it never would have happened without coach Cutcliffe, and to a lesser degree coach Chavis. I hated the way he called defense in some of our biggest games but he set a culture for the defense that was a huge part of Fulmer’s success too

Fans loved Johnny because he was amazing with fans and on tv. I never understood the disconnect until I stumbled across a clip for one of his shows. The man could make Spurrier sound boring and had more style, panache and genuine wit/humor. But he also had a lifetime of tragedies buried inside that came out when his substance abuse progressed.

In a different era, Johnny gets rehabbed and might have made it back home again. But UT didn’t do Majors dirty. He did that to himself.

The Johnny Majors Show hosted by John Ward was better than the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.

I looked forward to them as much as I did Saturday morning cartoons.

I truly don't think men want safe vehicles like Subarus and Volvos. We want driving to be an adventure. Big off-road tires on an icy road, looks impressive but useless as teats on a boar hog, perfection. Nothing like the adrenalin rush of not knowing if your gonna make it. Nothing makes you feel more alive than a good brush with death.

It always blows my mind when I see people in a jacked up truck cruising 70 down a snowy/icy interstate.

I’ve seen more in my yard than in the woods.

I’ve told the story on here before about sitting on a small rattlesnake. Wish I could hear my Dad tell that story and laugh one more time

Have you lived in mountains of NC? Montana? I have. Any vehicle you can have to help life be made easier, is, utilitarian.

I have property in the State of Washington where I want to build 'off grid'. I'd love to have the Bronco Badlands to get to that location. But, my 'utilitarian Toyota' getting 50mph pulls me back. Hate to go to a vehicle with less than 20 mph.

Nebraska beat us by the exact same score to win the title and it was the best thing that could've happened to us. Now, I don't really think we're in the same position (nico drama and the other portal dramas he created kinda killed that vibe for me) but I think Heupel and the team can take the same lesson away from that beat down. It may just take a little longer to translate.

That said, you're right. No one was beating the OSU team that showed up in the playoffs.
