Trump said if he did not show up he will give Ukraine vast amounts of weapons. Trump also stated he will sanction Russia even more. Let’s see if any of that happens.

Also, Russia uses shadow boats to haul their sanctioned oil under false guise ships. Estonia attempted to cease one of these vessels in international waters until a su-35 (while violating estonias airspace) came into the picture and Estonia bailed. Pretty big deal to have a Russian su pony up on a nato member.

‘A very easy negotiation’​

MARCH 2023: “There’s a very easy negotiation to take place. But I don’t want to tell you what it is because then I can’t use that negotiation; it’ll never work,” Trump told Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity, claiming that he could “solve” the war “in 24 hours” if he were back in the White House.

“But it’s a very easy negotiation to take place. I will have it solved within one day, a peace between them,” Trump said of the war, which at that point had been ongoing for more than a year since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

MAY 2023: “They’re dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours,” Trump said during a town hall on CNN.

JULY 2024: When asked to respond to Trump’s one-day claim, Russia’s United Nations Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia told reporters that “the Ukrainian crisis cannot be solved in one day.” Afterward, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said that “a top priority in his second term will be to quickly negotiate an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.”

AUGUST 2024: “Before I even arrive at the Oval Office, shortly after I win the presidency, I will have the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine settled,” Trump told a National Guard Conference. “I’ll get it settled very fast. I don’t want you guys going over there. I don’t want you going over there.”

This is just a dumb take. If you want someone to come to the peace table, you don't call them names (even if they deserve it).

I think everyone knows Putin is the main aggressor but we are not going to get Putin to talk peace by calling him out.

Lol acknowledging the fact that Russia instigated the war against Ukraine is not 'calling them names', and trying to appease Putin prior to even starting any serious negotiating is a proven losing tactic.

Chances are the war isn't going to end unless someone actually listens to the country doing the ear twisting or there is nothing left to bomb... seems pretty simple to me. Each his or her own.

just pointing out the Russians have often gone thousands of miles just to be on someone else's lawn. and in this case, have needed help from someone thousands of miles away to be on this particular lawn.

trying to pass off America as the only/worst aggressor and conqueror is pretty dumb too. Russia was doing this long before we were a country. We learned from the other world powers, including Russia.

when you can't understand the basics, like even getting a timeline correct, I am not surprised you think there is something wrong with my stance.
