Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Well, if he is taking some substance and you are aware of it, I'd then think about company liability.
That's what I'm worried about. He's obviously not taking it as prescribed and he's doing it at work. I suppose he's been doing it a while and never got caught. The issue now is that I know about it. Can't claim ignorance if something happens from it. . . good thing I do know now, I should've been more aware of what's going on anyway.

A large dark roast coffee, with shot of espresso. With 1 raw sugar. Sometimes no sugar.

If no coffee, unsweet tea. That's it. Unsweet tea.

Lawnmower, push. Non self propelled.

Saw, hand saw. Screwdriver, no power tools.

Rake, no blower. Yard work, no skid steer.

The last one is true. My wheelbarrows are broken. And I own no power tools, bc i'm cheap.
I like unsweet tea if it's ice cold and power tools are for the weak anyway, 😂

Ok. . . man at work breaks his mouse so you let him borrow your wireless mouse. They leave to go to a jobsite. You go into their office to get the mouse and notice an oddly ripped piece of paper laying on the desk. You pick it up and there is crushed powder underneath it.

You call the guy back to the office and he explains that it's adderall he has a prescription for. Do you fire him on the spot? You have to right, even if he's been a good worker for years? Do you right him up and make him go to counseling or something?

"Damn I've got to go out of the office, but my crushed up Adderall is all over my desk. I know, I'll rip a piece of paper to the perfect size and cover it up"

I think you have to fire him for simply thinking that was a good plan.

Is it against some kind of disability law to refuse to hire someone after you find out they take Adderall? "I've got a prescription for my amphetamines" means nothing to me.

I think what happened is he was in the middle of crushing it up under a piece of paper, got sidetracked or something, forgot about it, then left. I can't imagine why else you'd leave something out like that. . . everyone does usually lock their door when they leave though. . .

I used to have insane calluses from lifting weights. Now you see all these people with padded gloves and stuff crying about getting a blister.
That's where it came from. Then I got old, and stopped caring.

Had an acquaintance tell me once 'You know you're in a gym, and not a prison.'

Got tired of weights and wanted to be strong. The body supplies the perfect resistance.

Butch is at it again today. He wants out of there bad.

You'd be wise to consult an HR specialist and/or attorney. You could potentially walk your company into a lawsuit if you handle this incorrectly.

The conditions that require taking Adderall do result in getting sidetracked pretty often lol

Yeah, I am talking to some people today. Have a meeting with the guy on Monday. Just sent him home this morning. I'd like to find a way to keep him and get him some kind of help. . .
