Why do you all keep using flowery words like utopia and choir boys as if these people stole a pack of gum? They've spent the past decade bombing and starving hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, and children to death (with US help). That sounds like a good friend we should praise? We ought not limit our dealings to choirboys. Afterall Trump is no choirboy himself
I'm not praising them but it does behoove us to keep good relations with them. They have influence in OPEC and in the ME. We need their assistance in case Iran needs to be dealt with. We also need to see to it that their oil fields are safe from attack. An attack on their oil would drive up energy costs potentially to a crisis levelWhy do you all keep using flowery words like utopia and choir boys as if these people stole a pack of gum? But if inflation keeps dropping, groceries keep getting cheaper, the market keeps climbing, and we get favorable trade deals, do you really think there will be any doubt about how people view the direction of the country. Let’s face it, the only way the democrats ever get back in power is if the economy crashes. The signs are pointing the opposite direction right now.Did you read your own link? Also that is from Feb I think there is a newer version from Rasmussen that can at least cover the MoE spread and provide a definitive result from their data set
Holy **** do you actually believe all that? Iran needs to be dealt with? Protect the Saudi oil fields? NonsenseI'm not praising them but it does behoove us to keep good relations with them. Of course they are an ally being the only democracy in the region. Israel allows the US to have influence is this important region of the world without having to have troops on the ground like in Afghanistan/Iraq. Their military, supported by the US, is in alignment with our interests in the region. They also have intelligence capabilities that can be used and shared against our common enemy, Iran. You can't call Iran terrorists yet defend SA unless you don't know what the word means. That becomes a whole lot easier once we realize Israel is not an ally. Until then the foreign policy follies will continue
We use it because that is where your thoughts are coming from or off a white board where theory can be beautifully applied. The world has aggressors everywhere and to ignore our interests as a country because the aggressors are real is crazy. Why do you all keep using flowery words like utopia and choir boys as if these people stole a pack of gum? You can be apologetic. No worries. But have you looked into the idea. There are other countries (several) which allow pharm purchases outside their sovereignty. What are the consequences of those populations? How does it compare with what we currently do? Is the cost benefit worth it? These are tough questions because they potentially destroy the beliefs we've told ourselves about "why they way we do it is necessary".Sorry, but this is one area that I believe we need protection by either a government or reputable/certified private agencies. The consequences of ineffective, illicit, contaminated, or less potent medications could be damaging or fatal, and some might not be known for an extended amount of time.
They wanted us fighting in Iraq, Syria, libya, etc. They want us fighting in Iran (which Trump thankfully said no to this time). How is that in any way aligned with our interests?Of course they are an ally being the only democracy in the region. No, I feel strongly that countries who slaughter hundreds of thousands of innocent people (those are facts, not theory)are not friends and should not be effusively praised by a US president. They are evil and should be treated as such. They have done worse things than Iran who is repeatedly called an enemy hereWe use it because that is where your thoughts are coming from or off a white board where theory can be beautifully applied. They wanted to strike Iran's nuclear targets and Trump worked with them to not do so.They wanted us fighting in Iraq, Syria, libya, etc. They want us fighting in Iran (which Trump thankfully said no to this time). How is that in any way aligned with our interests?
A simple “no I didn’t read my own link” would have sufficed. Your link referenced the attitude of the people on the direction of the country. The actual data didn’t line up very well with the headline. And your own discussion on the link seems to be you don’t agree with it either. And actually if you look at our back and forth you’d have seen I already gave you an out. I think a more current poll showed improvement in the numbers. BUT that isn’t the link you posted. And I guess that’s because sentiment likely lags economic data. Just a guess on my part. But if inflation keeps dropping, groceries keep getting cheaper, the market keeps climbing, and we get favorable trade deals, do you really think there will be any doubt about how people view the direction of the country. You keep switching topics. How is it in our interests to keep fighting these wars for Israel? The ones I posted have cost us dearlyThey wanted to strike Iran's nuclear targets and Trump worked with them to not do so.
Oil coming from this region to the US and other countries is in our national interest and until a warp drive or dilithium crystals can be developed that is going to be the case, like it or not.
And our hands are completely clean. The hypocrisy is palpable. No, I feel strongly that countries who slaughter hundreds of thousands of innocent people (those are facts, not theory)are not friends and should not be effusively praised by a US president. They are evil and should be treated as such. They have done worse things than Iran who is repeatedly called an enemy here
Correct. India manufactures about 50%. They ship all over the world and not just to america. if same manufacturer, what does it matter if the shipment went to Maine or Madagascar?I believe most of our meds are manufactured overseas. I do know that India manufactures a **** load. My question has always been; why do we pay so much more here when it was OUR science that created most of it to begin with?
