Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Love how all these idiots on Twitter are talking the mad ish at the Vols...

39 wins is just 2 wins behind the highest win totals in the country this season. SEC is a gauntlet and we've just had some trouble putting away games we have the chance to win to take some of the series we should have won.
Did anyone check out the freshman-soph numbers on this team???

Yeah, honestly I think that's what the rest of the conference/country should be looking at...34 guys on the roster are just in their 1st or 2nd year on campus. I think Dean is the only draft eligible true sophomore.

Of course I have no idea who is or isn't on scholarship...baseball rosters are complicated in that regard, but in theory you could return the entire team except Hunter & Backus if no one left for the draft

Welp, the Celtics go down 3-1 to New York and blew another double digit lead in the 2nd half. Watching Rick "The Boston Massacre" Pitino celebrate with New York fans is extra annoying.

Tatum spent most of the night rolling around on the court like a soccer player or LeBron James. He finally went out for good with what looked to be an Achilles tear or something with his ankle. (The last I saw of him, they were pushing him around in the bowels of MSG in a wheelchair. 🫤)

*New avi change. Larry deserves better
It might be time for Adam Silver to award the Celtics another franchise player to increase ratings. Giannis?

How are two players from Rutgers projected to be top 5 NBA draft picks? They didn't even make the tournament with two top 5 lottery picks?

I'm assuming you're talking about Dylan Harper and Airious Bailey.

Harper was the 3rd rated overall player in the 2024 class.... Rutgers was bad, but he had tons of stats 19.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 4.0 apg & 1.4 spg
Bailey was the 2nd rated overall player in the 2024 class (from Chattanooga) is a 6'10" Guard...his stats were 17.6 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.3 bpg, 1.0 spg, and 1.3 apg

Both would have went straight to the NBA if they could have so not too surprising they're projected top 5 picks. The confusing thing is just how did both end up at Rutgers playing for a barely 500 coach...with just 2 NCAA Tournaments in his 9 years there.

Someone explain to me like I'm in 5th grade how Aguilar will be ramped up over the summer. I don't understand what is "legal" in terms of work outs.

Really just gives Aguilar an extra month or so to have the playbook in his hand.

Preseason camp will be end of July....but had he not been a graduate transfer he would have been stuck at UCLA until their semester ended in June.

So he basically can start learning plays, doing individual workouts and likely getting with teammates for informal throwing sessions...the sort of stuff Nico apparently never did while here during this dead period.

I'll say this though... Minnesota vs Knicks will be a finals I'm watching.

Wolves have never won a Finals, Knicks haven't since the early 70s....will be fun to watch I think as both fan bases will be eager to fill the stands.

Pacers & OKC would be the other 2 I'd be pulling for to make it.

Being the bad boy isn't as fun when you're getting your ass handed to you left and right, 😂
This isn't the '22 team. They don't project that attitude. They haven't even projected the swagger last year's team had. This bunch has really only shown any anger when they were provoked. Just lazy reporting from yet another nitwit pretending to be an actual reporter. Are there even reporters anymore or just pontificators?

Which player win ECF Championship MVP last season and doubled it up by winning MVP of he Finals. Sure the hell wasn't Tatum...
In the ECF, Tatum averaged 30.25 points, 10.25 rebounds, 6.25 assists. Brown averaged 29.75 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Brown was more efficient shooting, but Tatum clearly had the better numbers.

Brown probably won the Finals MVP because he guarded Luka. It's not like Tatum is a scrub- he's put up pretty darn good numbers.
