On reading a bit it’s likely moot that the idiotic ponderings of that moron Miller will have a chance of becoming reality. The majority opinion is the authority resides with Congress. While Lincoln initially unilaterally suspended writ of habeas corpus Congress later followed and passed the required legislation and gave him cover.

You can’t even answer the simple question. What should be done about the issue. Wide open borders for everybody - even enemies? Schedule court appearance 50 or 75 years out? But… but… you’re team libertarian and carrying water for MAGA.

Go read Miller’s own statements. He explicitly stated they were considering suspending writ of habeas corpus.

I sure as **** don’t want even more gun restrictions. Especially red flag laws. Because the Dems will be back in charge at some point. And here’s a shocker… Trump is wrong on the bump stock laws. Machine guns shouldn’t only be allowed for the government to possess.

50 or 75 years because of the millions and millions that were allowed to enter illegally by previous administrations.

I’d reckon that Tom and Todd have pretty compelling evidence who isn’t here legally. That comes to light when applying for jobs, drivers licenses, benefits, etc. I’d also bet that almost all of the aggressive raids are focused on the extremely high risk individuals.

It’s not logical to put the suspected law breakers in front of the immigration judges in order of the level of the criminal activity.

Rights granted aren't meant to be convenient to the government. And we have clearly granted rights to non citizens

The free speech issue is what’s happening on campuses. When a foreign student “visitor” calls for death to America and to Israel, it’s going to stir it up.

I’m just citing what’s in the article. When an actual plan is developed I’ll be outraged or not.

Again, there’s an immigration problem. You happy with just kicking the can down the road? The current administration has actually slowed the illegal flow to a trickle and is now looking into how to deal with those that previously broke the law getting here. Your side was putting them in 4 star hotels for free. And telling them you broke the law getting here, but we cool.

LMAO I love it. Just because I’m against randomly suspending constitutional protections on the whim of an idiot admin staffer when there is no actual invasion (no there really isn’t. Just like the alien clause Trump abused trying to act like there is an invasion here to suspend writ of habeas corpus is a baseless stretch) I’m now a liberal 🤡

The Trump admin has done a remarkable job of stemming the influx of illegals. Kudos to them. In my opinion it’s probably his best example of a campaign promise swiftly acted upon and executed. That doesn’t however give them reason to preempt constitutional protections without a valid basis. And it isn’t an option they have a valid reason they should even consider it either regardless how much you try and stretch Armstrong around it and think they could seriously consider it.

No it isn’t an invasion. There is no declaration of war by Congress on an invading Army. That is the context necessary to invoke both the alien clause already done by Trump and suspension writ of habeas corpus now being spoken of by that idiot Miller in all prior use cases.
