No, 10 days. Yes, I have been to Paris/France before - about 25 years ago. I drove then to go to Normandy one day - never again after the tl;dr story. The only other country is the Philly airport.

Paris and London are both wonderful. Which Arrondissement? Other areas you'll visit?

Advice given to me by a Parisian I worked with before our first trip there: When you enter a shop always say to the person you come in contact with "bonjour Madame, Monsieur.... " Their custom.
I think a lot of the beauty there is in the age of the buildings. Old there doesn't really exist very much here.
Wish we could be there.
Only bad part is the flights. CDG is nasty too.

A. Paris is vastly overrated IMO. Much better cities to visit in France.

A. I've been to many towns/cities in France. I think France is just a beautiful county, both the cities and the countryside. The towns, waterways, buildings, etc. The old parts of Paris are beautiful, IMO. Nothing special about the modern business area.
For a tourist I don't think you can beat The louvre and D'Orsay(We like art museums), Eiffel Tower, and the architecture of the buildings. It would be hard for me to tell someone to skip Paris.
I appreciate the public transportation in Europe. 200 mph trains are nice. It is easy to move around.

B. Exactly, we have little of what I'd call old. That's is a big part of what makes Europe interesting. Parts of New England have some interesting areas which are old for here, and have pretty architecture. Ha, My city, Nashville has copied "old" with a replica of The Parthenon.
