Its well established that I do not give a damn what anybody does in the privacy of their home as long as only consenting adults are involved...but I am not gonna play along with delusions unless I just happen to feel like it that day. You can pretend you're a dog for all I care...but dont expect me to take you for a walk, or play fetch. BREAKING NEWS: Trump's Associate Deputy Attorney General Ed Martin just confirmed to me that the feral leftist woman who spit on him LIVE during a Newsmax interview is being ARRESTED: “Yes, we got her.”

She has has been identified by U.S. Marshals, arrested and will be charged under 18 U.S. Code § 111.

She is facing 20 years in federal prison for knowingly assaulting a federal official and potentially millions in legal fines.

This is JUSTICE in action.

20 years in prison, and millions in fines for spitting on someone? Does she have aids or some other communicable disease?

doesn't sound like justice to me. sounds like the system protecting the system. must be nice to be part of the protected class, better than the rest of us.

I'm just addressing this generally but I've heard such things explained as along the same lines as "authority figures" (teachers for instance) having aggravating circumstance additions to sentencing. The logic (whether one agrees with it or not) is that public government officials, by merely being one, invite all manner of ire. I have to agree to some extent that being a government official is essentially setting oneself up to be a hate magnet. It's literally impossible, no matter your stance, not to have haters. So the POV becomes "Yeah yeah, hate all you want, hang/burn us in effigy, etc but any actual attacks have to get hammered hard as a clear line of demarcation or else it would just become commonplace.".

it probably should be at this rate. they draw hate because they don't do anything to improve our nation, or solve our problems.

1-5 years in prison, some community service, and the like, seems like it would be more than enough to dissuade this without being ridiculous. and that would still be harsher than the punishment for spitting on a member of the general public.

if its actual assault, i would get it. but this is essentially "they were mean to me in public".
