The Official Zone Severe Weather Thread

It’s raining hard, and the Home Depot delivery guy doesn’t put the item at my front door. No… He leans it against the detached garage such that it can’t be seen from the house but is easily seen from the street and accessible to thieves.

ever wonder why these delivery guys even bother taking a picture of it -- its not going to stop a porch pirate from getting it

I’m certain that he believed that he got less wet leaving it at the garage rather than bringing it to the front door. I doubt that he was significantly less wet, but the item was more easily accessible to thieves from the street than to anyone inside the house.

The new reality of intense storms and weather patterns is going to require additional storm water management infrastructure and may prohibit building in certain areas previously popular for intense development. Insurance availability will force the issue.

Lake lanier had a pretty big waterspout yesterday. It's slightly stormed here some, wind and hail at times. There's good videos of the waterspout in Gainesville though
