But think about the message it sends to Christians all over the World. Trump ran on and has made immigration the number one issue. What better way to say that's not Christian than to elect the first American ever to be Pope, who just months ago chastised the administration for it?

One of the major unreported storylines in the world is western nations destroying themselves with open "Immigration" with those incompatible with the respective cultures of those nations. With the church in decline (Agreed), if they chose this dude for Trump reasons, its, well, quite the choice...

If this wasn't about trying to turn the tide against harshness towards immigration, and Trump in particular, why not elect a Pope who either outright supports immigration enforcement, or a politician who does?
