Dent, pioneering Black golfer, dies at age 85

Jim Dent, one of the top Black golfers on PGA Tour Champions and known for his long hitting off the tee, died at the age of 85.

This article didn't even mention Calvin Pete as a pioneering black golfer. He actually had 9 tour victories and finished top 5 moeny list 3-5 times. Died in 2015 or 2018 maybe. Pete went from teaching himself to play to breaking par in less than a year. He was the most successful black player on tour until Tiger came along. He indeed ran with all the big names on tour and more than held his own. But, in 2 or 3 recent articles citing pioneering black tour golfers, Pete's name was left out.
