“Fair market value”. We sure got our 4 mil out of Nico. I’m all for paying players. But the amount is silly. Especially for unproven players. There is no “market” when you don’t know how they will perform. You ever went to a car dealer with 100K and said “surprise me” and had a Kia soul pulled around? That’s what we’re doing right now. It’s insane.

That's an Appeal to Outliers logical fallacy.
The Spyre donors that ponied up for him suite thought he got fair market value.

And...he got at least fair market value from UCLA. Anyone that understands markets knows that value can go up, due, or stay the same over time.

The market price for his services are whatever price the player and the collective agree to. There is a market and a market price even if it is unknown how they will perform.

If you had $100k and a Kia Soul pulled around, you'd walk off the lot. There would be no price established because there'd be no deal.

I know quite a bit due to studying the legal background, the current federal laws, and from actually researching the facts.

That's ignorant. You have no idea how far I got in my chosen path in life. All if my dreams have come true, especially the one that college athletes would be able to get fair market value and that anachronistic people that live exploitation would lose their minds about it. You're the poster boy for that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I wouldn't say @EastTNVol6240 "lives exploitation"...that would take quite a stretch to claim when you don't know them. That said, I'm glad "all if" your dreams have come true so far, even if those dreams apparently didn't include a decent command of the English language.
