The video starts after she did it. And if you're argument is it may not have happened, in the video she doesn't deny she said it. In fact she calls the guy doing the recording the N word after he confronts her. And the reason she's getting this money is because of her brazen racism and the fact she didn't apologize after saying it to a 5 year old autistic kid. The fact so many people are defending her behavior is sick.

Tell you what, I'll go look right now and report back. I haven't read into it much but on the surface it seems pretty crazy that he's getting a self defense pass considering (depending on the state) lethal defense is only allowed when it is clear your life is at stake.

I gotta say, after perusing the first 100 donations or so, there were maybe 6 or 7 that were racially charged. Vast majority were anonymous. In that respect, Shiloh's fundraiser is far, far worse. It is a constant barrage of "sh*tskins" and declarations of racial purging, support for the word's use, and calls for preservation of the white race.

That said, murder is worse than a word, but Shiloh's not going through the legal process or otherwise being brought to heel by the system. We may not both like the verdict, but Karmelo is going through the system.

Also, the kid is briefly shown in the video and he's definitely not 12, fwiw.

You know, I will have to disagree. We've spent the past few months on a youth track team and going to meets all over Florida. I'm guessing it's up to a 90/10 distribution most weekends and I never felt any tension. We shared our tent, had conversations, cheered, etc and I don't remember race coming up (it did once but that was just funny). Watched my 11yo son laugh and joke with the other competitors without any regard to race.

The media feeds it because they know it gets clicks. The morons latch on to the singular story of the day as proof. But if you're out around this country you will see a much different thing.

No grown person should be saying anything aggressive to a child. Even if this was a fully healthy 12 year old kid intentionally stealing it doesn't justify calling him a racial slur.

A responsible adult would look for the kid's parents and report the behavior not attack the kid in any way. This just goes to show that racist individuals do not view black children as children. Racial insults happen all the time between adults. I doubt many people would care if this didn't involve a child. I mean she also called the black guy recording the video the N word as well but nobody is really tripping about that cause we expect adults to be hateful toward each other. The thing that has most decent humans disgusted is the fact it was directed towards a child.

I honestly can't fathom what a child could do to make me insult them with hateful language. I get calling a kid a brat or something tame like that. But saying a racial epithet and in this case the most hateful racial epithet in the English language is pretty wild. That's what I can't wrap my head around. Normal people don't hate children. Even those unrelated to you that behave badly. You would think there would be some level of compassion and understanding. But I guess I just don't understand the level of hate a racist person is capable of.

No. I saw it. But it's like when someone says "no offense but..." usually something offensive is about to be said. In this case you are definitely trying to excuse her behavior by hypothesizing that the kid could be older. As if him being 12 makes it not as bad. In some ways it might even be worse as a 5 year old might not even understand race and color yet thus the slur might not affect them versus a 12 year old who is fully aware.

I know when I was 5 I didn't even realize different races existed. I thought everybody was the same. It wasn't until I got older I even realized things like skin color existed.
