Unfortunately that's who we've become. It's no better or no worse at any other school. Social Media has created a huge group of people who can NEVER make any decisions in the spur of the moment but know exactly what should have been done after the fact. They are losers in their own lives and want everyone else to be losers too. It's a sad state of affairs. People like Coach have to have a thick skin and keep the general public at arm's length. The best advice I give anyone who wants to coach for a living (including your son) is to have thick skin, keep your circle of people you confide in VERY tight, and make sure you maintain perspective.

Deploy the countermeasures! Somewhere there are posters with orange blood, and they’ve got accounts on all our rivals’ message boards. Time for them to fire them up, slap a “more cowbell” avatar on it, and start posting about how it’d be a cold day in hell before State would let that so-and-so into Starkville and it’s been all Anderson and Elander anyway.

If I’m DW, I show up with a large bag of money and a large stack of all the social media posts and media coverage of MSU firing their coach mid-season after he won their only Natty and went to the Regional Finals last year.

Good thing we aren’t them 👌

I was at that game. Rain was almost knee level on the sideline reporter . It was weird the harder it rained the better we played. Reggie ran absolutely wild and Mose Phillips with the catch and give him six.I smuggled in a half gallon of WildTurkey 101 under my orange poncho. Held the bottle in my left hand and gave the usher my ticket in my right hand. Good times for sure.

When my daughter was maybe 7-8 we had a season when an absurd number of games were getting rained out. It got to a point where everyone was like you know what, we’re getting this one in. There’s no lightning, it’s just raining. There was one play where a kid was trying to leg out a double, she goes sliding in and it sends up this absolute sluice of water. Everyone sort of collectively had this “this is lunacy” moment because you couldn’t even see the bag to know who made the play. It was glorious. Used a lot of fels naptha and a pressure washer in the driveway on pants that season.

That was the most fun I had at a UT game. After the game we were Slip-n-sliding beside the Spam Can.

We were there too as Moses "parted the waters " on the long TD run.

I know you have been to Starkville, MS... many times. The amount would have to be triple this amount.
Kiffin probably would move on from Mississippi if offered. The state sucks. No place to raise a family.

I know 😂. I was responding to a poster who insinuated MSU might appease CTV with money and social media posts.
I’m very happy with he and the whole program. I remember the old days and there weren’t many bright spots. My only regret is that I can’t get to more games.
