That's fine if the situation is perfect, but on a limited pitch counts, starting in the rain it's not a big deal if AJ gets burned.

Several other games are currently delayed or even cancelled. LSU is canceled and playing a DH tomorrow. I can’t imagine CTV was good with starting this game. You simply cannot take this kind of chance of potentially not being able to throw your ace the rest of the weekend. This series is WAY too big for the Vols.

Sounds like UT made the call to start the game and the umps stopped it after the top of the 1st.

Umps are the only ones to enforce the rules. And that is to start and stop a game.

There’s similar controversy in Florida/LSU game at apparently Florida did not want to start the game.
