President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I don't understand how Democrats consider this a winning strategy. Even young Democrats are souring on immigration based on recent polling. Democrats just in the 1990s were the anti immigration party.
DACA, and the Republican opposition to it, changed a lot of things about liberal sentiments towards illegal immigrants, especially those who were law-abiding, fully assimilated, educated citizens that were brought here as infants, some of whom had never known life in Mexico .... and didn't even speak Spanish.

I think the virtue signal days are over based on polling with youth. They just want jobs right now. They see immigration as a threat.

There is a video by a guy MonzierZ that posted a lot of links if interested. I am on my phone and can't pull YouTube link now.

Granted the issue is about illegal immigration and despite the legal issues with the deportation recently, most people, even on the left, don't seem to care or outright support it based on polling. If Democrats has sense, they would dump that issue and stop defending illegal immigrants.

DACA was different. Those people who qualified for it, had no life to go back to in Mexico. They had only ever known life in the United States. That has nothing to do with "virtue signaling." It's a matter of human decency.

The only people who think of illegal immigrants as a threat are unskilled labor. DACA recipients, for the most part, were not unskilled.

Out of all the executive orders that Donald Trump has ever signed, his executive order ending birthright citizenship for children born to illegal immigrants is the most glaring example of executive overreach, and the most blatantly Unconstitutional.

It's exactly the sort of executive order that he used to be critical of Barack Obama for. It is a Presidential attempt to circumvent the long established process for amending the United States Constitution. If it can be done with one stroke of a pen, by one person, then our Constitution isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
I Fing can’t stand the EO.
They all abuse it but you’re correct in that this one is blatantly over the line.

The system is just ****ed.
It’s way past the need for overhaul

Biden. Not even a close call. I'd vote for him again over Trump. I'd vote for you over Trump.
So you screwed up. And would gladly do it again. Guess your “independent” days are gone. I’m not running, but you’re sweet for recognizing my ability to lead.

Don't get too excited. My dead cat can lead better than Trump.

No one believes he was leading anything. Not even you are that gullible.

You could proclaim you trust his staff beneath him to run the country better than Trump, and a reasonable argument could be made there.

But don’t openly lie

It’s how he copes. He actually tried to convince people he’s an “independent “.

You mean on tariffs? That this debacle was somebody else's brainchild?

I tend to agree. But Trump is the one easily sold on the lies that it would reduce the debt, instantly return manufacturing to the US, and cause but a ripple in our economy.

Wrong.
Wrong.
Wrong.

But Trump liked it because he thought it made him look good. And when it went to crap, he reversed course. As always.

Sure, but that’s a different question you’re addressing.

Do I think Biden’s staff would have handled that better? Absolutely.

Do I think Biden was handling anything during his presidency? No. Nor do you. His mental incompetence has been well documented at this point. Numerous people have came out and stated they felt he wasn’t wit in since the Afghanistan withdrawal
