--It don't see tarriffs raising the price of goods as much as some people claim....people can still buy made in USA and avoid all tarriffs

--Trump has inflation down to ;ess than 1% like .7% so even if tarriffs raised inflation a full 2% inflation will still be a fraction of what it was under Biden.

--fed quit playing politics and lower intesest rates people will start buying houses.

There is no made in the usa alternative for most items. There is also no way to get manufacturing in place before the shortages hit from this ridiculous and ignorant tariff back and forth. The same things were said during covid and nothing changed. Americans don't want to and it will cost them

I was just joking. Its not that I don't GAF, I don't see ANY tangible way to tackle the debt without massive tax increases for all and extreme fiscal discipline. Those two never go hand in hand. Can't default either so I liken it to running up your AMEX except they never send you a bill so F it.

I don't know. Numbers this morning show businesses are not stocking up on pre-tarriffed goods as some have assumed they are to avoid the higher costs of post-tarriffed goods....maybe businesses are not worried about supply issues, supply chain issues...maybe businesses are not that worried about price increases....maybe this is all being overhyped by the leftist media to scare people....

the fear I am seeing is that there won't be any buying. there is so much uncertainty even before the big tariffs hit that costs are all over the place. Some prices, steel, are up from like Jan/Feb. Others are down, like lumber, from the same time period, but demand continues to plummet, so the thought is tariffs won't have as much of an impact as demand will.

Is spending money on US-made products without regard for price or quality your definition of "patriotic"?

If US-made products are better products at a competitive price point, sure, I'll buy 'em. If they're inferior (or grossly overpriced) products, no thanks. Some US-made products are of higher quality than international alternatives, and there are instances in which the converse is true. All other things being equal, it's great to buy US-made...but all those other factors are not always equal.

not as a mandate but to demonstrate that many things add to the cost consumers pay, including SS taxes, minimum wage. Amazon was playing politics and their stock price dropped and looks like Amazon has backtracked and stock price went up....

last numbers I saw was consumer spending still strong. The main thing many are looking at will Trump's tax cuts continue or lapse causing increase in taxes across the board.

Why can't people be informed about the effect of the tariff on the price? Dont we want the consumer to have that information ??

If the tariffs are big and beautiful why wouldn't Trump be proud of those numbers? Why hide it from people like this ....
