Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I can see why sampson slid this far for a few reasons:

1) rb’s dont hold their value for long

2) undersized at 5’8.5”

3) average speed, being in the mid 4.4’s is about average for p5 rb’s, but slow for smaller rb’s like sampson, the fact his longest rush this year was 52 yards backs that up.

He does have really good vision though, and I think that’s going to really help him. I’ve always thought of him as a 5-6 round pick
I would say he’s definitely above average speed. I saw him run straight past UGAs secondary in the TD run in Athens. GPS has clocked him at around 22-23mph

Him and Skip are idiots

Him and Skip are idiots
not political but with social media opinion like the anus is systemic, because as we know everyone has one.

All the talking heads at ESPN are not handling this draft well at all. It's just a matter of time before someone in the media says the NFL owners are racist for not drafting Shedeur in the 1st 3 rounds. 🥴
There's already Shadeur followers claiming this now, My Rebuttal, if that was true Cam wouldn't have gone 1st, Travis wouldn't have gone #2 nor would Daniels have gone as high as he did last year. It's purely talent and Daddy issues that's the problem.

All of the rb’s taken before him so far are all bigger and faster than him, besides the ucf guy who was top 3 fastest, and one other rb who is 6’1 225

NCAA needs to bust Alabama right this f'n minute. There is no rule against charging a team with multiple tampering counts because the coach has retired. And if there were such a rule, the NCAA could just go into a closed meeting and retroactively make any rule they wanted and apply it: that's what they did in our case. This is not the first time that Saban has openly confessed to tampering on national TV.

Bruh is openly mocking the NCAA and the step-and-fetch-it NCAA is lapping it up. And we all know how the NCAA recently covered for Michigan's coach, AD, and President. The NCAA corrupted the CFP playoffs. And after that, they allowed the Michigan AD to run the next playoff selection. For good measure, let me add that the handful of despicable, creepy cyberstalking of female athletes cases that they are trying to claim is the Michigan case entire is a farce. They were running espionage on other programs. They had thousands of records at athletics departments all over the country. Saban so much as told his team that Michigan was hacking opponents.

Skip is virtue signaling for cred. The simple truth is Sanders doesn't possess any elite skills or traits. And apparently he interviews horribly.

Deion had the hype and backed it up on the field....... Because he had elite skills and traits. His son doesn't, and Deion ran anyone off who challenged the narrative Shedeur was HIM. Big disservice to his son, should have turned him over to a known QB developing college coach.
Deion didn’t become a giant Diva until after he put up.

thank ya. not planned at all, gonna be another girl. I'm the last of my family name so I gotta keep going till a boy pops out I guess lol
I got to 3 girls a surrendered. I wouldn't know what to do with a little boy to be honest. All my grandkids will probably end up being all boys. 😆

Oh, my take on them has nothing to do with their Sander rhetoric.... I just think theyre genuine morons
I think we are confusing what Bible says is free will. We, the people, free to choose to not have self awareness, to conform to what societies definition of being a man, or woman. To behave and act in a selfish manner. To live in a manner where material possessions, status, and are placed above all else.

If only there were a bearded guy with a stone tablet, on a mountain somewhere that says something about this.

We don't really want them to start doing that, especially since we just did the same thing with Becht, Hoover and Altmyer. And Tate last portal. And probably many more.

Its so funny, our friend has five boys, and her twin 5 girls.

One of my best mate, 3 boys. Another, 3 girls.

I can speak to the amazingness of them both.

As a Dad who enjoys sports, girls 4&5 yo soccer is...not my favorite. Wished Id kept them in dance, or cheer.

In meantime, enjoying teeball.

You don't know that. They or their agents may have made first contact. A collective may have received a call. Saban said "we" -- his organization -- did it. He really meant "I" did it. He was trying to tell everyone how smart he is and admitted to tampering by accident. By not being so smart.

If the NCAA had busted Saban when he first admitted to tampering a year or two ago, or busted Michigan (a clear case of lack of institutional control), a lot of this stuff might well be under control now. Instead, the NCAA said basically, "Well, if Saban is out there tampering, we are going to have to go after... Southern Utah." If they had busted him for paying players... The fact is that the NCAA (and the networks and what passes for reporting) all turned a blind eye to it all. It is repeated all over that it is because Saban is "so smart that he ran through boosters and friends. But that is explicitly part of the NCAA's definition of "lack of institutional control."

It's always "friends and enemies" and unequal enforcement with the NCAA. And breaking their own rules.

But the truth in what you say is that it is exactly the long-standing practice of the corrupt NCAA to go after a rival of a favorite or some small school for whatever an NCAA favorite does.

I wouldn’t necessarily say faster. Sampson is coming off an hamstring injury and still ran a 4.42 so his pro day 40 likely isn’t his “best” so I’m hoping his real speed comes back. Same thing was going on when Hyatt ran at the combine. A Healthy Sampson is very fast, particularly based off his GPS measured speed prior to the injury.

I hope Big Nic and Deon stories begin the death spiral of Daddy Ball. Listening to the ESPN talking heads in panic mode is sheer entertainment because something didn't follow their script. Listening and reading between the lines the kid hurt himself with his attitude and interactions during the pre-draft process. If I wasn't such a cynical human being I would hope others would learn from this. But I doubt it.
