Also looking at that Torvik thing it is all out of whack (included 2-3 Vandy players I know are no longer on their roster like Edwards for example) also didn’t even have us with Ament on the roster adding him moved us to #10 in the overall rankings

Yeah that is not accurate for coming season. SEC 16 has been analyzing additions and we are still in that top group of 6. Alabama was not even in this list. Barnes will add the two players and Gainey and ZZ still possible. Adams has not even been ruled out by anyone.

Barnes has gotten to the E8 the last two years riding a star player each year that took less money to play here. Barnes has also gotten boosters to pony up to offer money to good players, but stopped short of overpaying or playing games with greedy agents/players. I don’t think it’s correct to say UT willing to pay, but we just saw a prime example in football of what happens when you play the game some are apparently wanting to play. Maybe Im reading it all wrong, but for me it’s not about not being willing to pay, but being smart about who you pay and what the effects could be if it’s merely just about the money.

Yep, always puts together a solid team...but I thought he was going all in to get an elite team this year. Going all in on scoring...I guess we'll see

I am having a hard time understanding this claim that UK is spending $20M on their roster.

The math just doesn't make sense. They would have to be massively overpaying for lots of guys to hit numbers like that.

I'd laugh in Boswell's face if he tried to leverage for more money. Estrella is coming off a lingering injury, and you have 3 high school kids that aren't considered elite.

You make valid points for this year at least.
