Trump Ignores the Courts

Now they're arresting judges

Wonder what she did to obstruct the apprehension? I mean, if she hid the guy in a closet in her office and told agents she didn't know where he was, that's one thing.

If she entered an order in some way preventing his deportation, and that is the obstruction, then a whole lot of people in the FBI, top down, are going to have a huge problem on their hands.

I'm guessing it was more of a "he totally went thataway" kind of thing.

If a regular citizen would be charged then I see no real issue with this

If she did what is claimed would you then support the arrest?
It's only official if they raid her residence at dawn, guns drawn, with EMTs on hand in case anyone gets shot, before going through her husband's panty drawers.

Then it's appropriate Fed behavior and not just angry lawfare.

Don't know what the alleged obstruction is. I agree, if she was doing something ultra vires from her role as a judge, she shouldn't be immune. But if they're going after her based on some exercise of her judicial power, this is bad.

"On that day, Dugan "became visibly angry" after learning that ICE agents were waiting in the hallway to arrest Flores-Ruiz after a hearing in his criminal battery case, according to a sworn affidavit unsealed Friday.

Dugan and another judge entered the hallway and confronted the arrest team, telling one deportation officer that he needed a judicial warrant to make an arrest instead of an "administrative warrant." Dugan then ordered them to the chief judge's office, the affidavit alleged.

After returning to her courtroom, Dugan "escorted Flores-Ruiz and his counsel" through a jury door, which leads to a nonpublic area of the building, the affidavit stated, citing "multiple witnesses."

Flores-Ruiz and his attorney then returned to the hallway and took an elevator down to leave the building, the special agent alleged. After being told that Flores-Ruiz was in front of the courthouse, agents ran toward him and identified themselves as law enforcement officers."

Doesn’t sound like an order, of exercise of her power(s).

Do you really think either of them don’t know the details?

If it was actually what they are implying, they would have pasted 6 links (with commentary) on it.

The scant report seems to be that she told ICE agents "He's over there", to give him a head start from being "not" over there.

They'd better have some serious evidence that will withstand, "I honestly believed at the time that he was 'over there'".

Sounds like a potential abuse of power to obstruct justice. As well as using her office to try to intimidate the ICE officers.(See point 1 in the screenshot above.)

Yeah that doesn't look good. She knows exactly what she was doing

If they have the witnesses they claim to have she's toast. And rightfully so. If this is trumped up BS, then this administration has jumped the shark
So, if the claims are true, these actions are literally in the same category as tampering with evidence, etc... That would be a career-ending decision by a lawyer or judge. If she did it, it was ballsy.

Also, triple points are awarded for the Trump pun.

Hubris is not uncommon with judges

Mayor of Milwaukee didn’t help her cause on tv just now. Instead of addressing city crimes and the judges potential obstruction he decides to talk about Trump. Liberal mayors is a big part of why Trump was re-elected.

So, starting at around 3:30:

It sounds like they want to make courthouses safe spaces for illegal immigrants--a place where they can feel like they can come and not be arrested for being here illegally.

The courthouse... Come here to get protection from the legal system.

Also ~6:00. He needs to be careful about the claims he's making. He says that there have been "many of these attacks, against many judges, ANY TIME they have went up against any policy..." But also: "I don't know any other cases where Trump has arrested a judge."

~ 7:30, he's told the details of the claims against the judge: "This is the first time I've heard details about what supposedly happened..."

Really? After spending 7 minutes publicly crying and castigating about arresting her, he doesn't even know that level of details? Geez Louise.

Also, another judge and his wife in NM were arrested for harboring an illegal TDA gang member in their guest house.
