Your Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Thread III

Nashville.

But I won’t blame the fans. The city just doesn’t have enough people with money that will support a sh*t product.

King Klieman messed up a championship opening window and it started in the summer of 2022.
With the upgrades to Bridgestone (which is already 1000x better), it makes sense.

Less crime, higher income. A thriving (not dying) city. Win - win.

If that happens, f Nashville forever.

I thought the funding was actually not on the taxpayers, sort of.

Taking sales tax that would have been generated with or without renovation is taxpayer funded....

Its just semantics. It's money that would have gone to the 95 counties instead its now diverted to stay in Nashville..

It makes a lot of sense. It keeps the franchise in the same region and moved into a wealthy, sprawling market.

We’ll see, but the lease hasn’t been signed yet and it expires in 2029..

Yes, not investing in a major state city so you can continue to s*** on it makes perfect sense. It’s worked wonders so far. They don’t support the Titans and, look, a new stadium!

Disappointing, I've been trying to get back into the NBA and support the Grizz. But man, they just aren't built to compete, been like the roster is missing a couple of pieces, I watched sparingly tonight because if the draft. But in what I have watched I'll be honest, not sure Edey is a good fit.

I'm sure I'm missing something, please fill me in.
