Honestly, I wish we could clone Tyler Bray and have him for the rest of eternity... I don't know why; but man I loved that offense.
EDIT--- dadgum we would've been a complete team with 1/3 of those WR's last year.

Is 2 several? He was out a few games in that 2002 season that was more on Fulmer than him. Plus, Maryland wasn't below average that yearClausen was a good QB, but his teams underperformed in 3 of 4 of his seasons. 2001 was his only great team, and we blew it against LSU. He also lost several bowl games to below average ACC teams.
Also huge road win @ Miami. The Clausen family was a big part of UT football. The last I heard Casey was out west, coaching and influencing young men.Clausen was handicapped by an inept OC Randy Sanders. That said, dude had ice water in his veins. 4th & 19 at Bama? Road wins both years at Fla, 2 wins at Alabama, wins at ND.
Yes. 6 overtimes. Some TE from Elizabethton caught the game winner. Also huge road win @ Miami. The Clausen family was a big part of UT football. The last I heard Casey was out west, coaching and influencing young men.
Don’t I recall Casey playing an OT game vs. Arky with his arm hanging by his side (shoulder injury)? The guy was among the toughest competitors ever for those who didn’t see him live.
The South Carolina game was Justin Worley. Dobbs didnt play at all that game.Dobbs was a true freshman Butch’s first year after Dooley. The roster was depleted, yet he stepped in and made something out of nothing and I believe beat a ranked SC Spurrier team. Ainge and Causen had much better coaching and better supporting casts.
Ok. Must have been SC his sophomore year. The South Carolina game was Justin Worley. Dobbs didnt play at all that game.
Dobbs’ games in 2013 were:
- Alabama (L 10-45): 5/12 for 75 yards passing, 0 TDs, 0 INTs; 3 rushes for 19 yards.
- Missouri (L 3-31): 25/42 for 240 yards passing, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 1 fumble, 2 times sacked; 7 rushes for 45 yards.
- Auburn (L 23-56): 16/25 for 128 yards passing, 0 TDs, 1 INT, 2 times sacked; 10 rushes for 50 yards
- Vanderbilt (L 10-14): 11/19 for 53 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 2 times sacked; 11 rushes for 23 yards
- Kentucky (W 27-14): 14/23 for 199 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 1 time sacked; 7 rushes for 52 yards and 1 TD.
There is no scenario where we should ever lose to a Maryland team by a score of 30-3. That was embarrassing. Maryland was average at best. We had a lot more talent than them.Is 2 several? I think our final ranking was #6. We got screwed out of a BCS Bowl and wound up in the Peach Bowl on NYE. The Peach Bowl was not thought of that highly back then. We played unmotivated and Friedgen had them playing the best the program had ever been. It was their Super Bowl and we didn’t care. Ainge is one of the most underrated players in UT history. He was amazing in 2006, with a little luck and if he didn’t get hurt that team could’ve won something big. It's either Clausen or Ainge. I'll go with Ainge. I'll never forget the crucial throws he made to get us into FG range against Florida.

Fulmer was so close that year could have really changed his legacy towards the endView attachment 737868
This has been my Volnation hill to die on for years. We had Florida beaten, questionable roughing the passer call after the pick 6 and we win. If Ainge stays healthy we beat LSU and it’s a toss up on the road at Arkansas. We finish 10/11-1 and face Arkansas again in the SEC title game and potentially play for a BCS title if we beat them.
