Recruiting Football Talk VIII

There were signs at the very least, and they started to have been ignored. That's really the only fault I have with our coaches and administrators.
well at the very least, you string him along to keep him from transferring within the SEC

#5 SEC QBR vs SEC opps (higher than Ewers)

#2 overall in the SEC.

As a true freshman and shiz coach. Guy threw for 10 YPA. I'd be extremely happy and high on him if he was here.

That said, Sellers may be better (?)
Van Buren at MSU will be just as good as Lagway and Sellers...

Nico is a grade a dick from a classless family. JMO

There I said it.
I actually know someone who's recently become involved in UT sports (no insider knowledge just in the building). He told me in February Nico was a gigantic douchebag and that was pretty consensus. Doesn't mean much but I found it disappointing then, now it just makes sense.

I'm going to refrain from trashing to family any further. It literally writes itself.

I'll add; I would go to ends of the Earth for my children. But, if they pulled some cowardly ******** like that, i'm grabbing them by the ear and walking them up to Huepel. And watching them apologize. Trust me. Ive done it, in lesser situations. I cannot stand disrespect.

They fired their entire WR room, went and got Davis Anders. Plugged in a Samoan, and a Catholic. I mean, I'm the biggest critic of our recruiting in the continental US.

You're the leader of the team, a millionaire eating steak, driving a Mercedes SUV. Your brethren are eating Sam and Andys. Plug up your mangina, and get to work.

And take off those pajama pants...

He sat out workouts in February and he himself chose not to show up on that Friday. He was also telling teammates he was transferring and trying to get them to leave too

Nico isn't as innocent as we think in this whole thing.
We are a better team without him. He did us a favor.

Big Nic fell on his sword for his headcase son? If that's true.... and Chris Low is usually spot on when it comes to UT... it changes so much. Hell, we might even owe Big Nic an apology. What a damn mess.
Lowe is the main spokes person for UT and they provide him with info. I can guarantee everything he is saying is from UT without us having to say a word.

Yea what promises weren't fulfilled? All American transfer, ND transfer, 5 star RT. 2 4 star WRs coming and the unleashing of Mathews and Boo. He's just making up ****.

A couple quotes from this article that really stood out to me...

"You kept hearing rumblings all spring that [Iamaleava] one way or the other wouldn't be here in the fall," one Tennessee source told ESPN. "A lot of people were surprised he missed that practice, but it wasn't the first time he missed something he was supposed to be at, so I don't know if anybody should have really been that surprised."

And then there's this....

"I'm getting in the portal, if you need to handle your business," Iamaleava said as he was walking off the practice field, according to a Tennessee player who heard him say it.

One of the teammates went to Heupel to alert him. Heupel met with Iamaleava to make sure everything was OK and didn't mention anything about the information coming from teammates, and Iamaleava assured his coach that everything was good and it was "all a bunch of rumors."

and then the nail in the coffin on Nico....

"That next morning, Iamaleava didn't show up for Friday's practice or meetings and didn't alert anyone in the program.

Nic Iamaleava urged his son to go in and meet face-to-face with Heupel and his coaches to work things out, but Iamaleava felt betrayed, sources said, and did not speak with Heupel on Friday. Several people within the Vols' program tried to reach out to the quarterback to no avail."

So it was Nico, NOT Big Nic that decided to not show up to practice
I think a glaring problem in that version of events is his little brother's exploits at Arkansas.

It's not a binary thing. But framing the dad as just some guy trying to smooth troubled waters... Yeah BS on that. If anything, he could have just seen how sideways it was going before Nico did and tried to whip the wheel the other way.

Frankly, if you can believe the dad would screw over his kid so bad that he would negotiate him onto a worse team and a giant pay cut, is it really so hard to believe he would start feeling the heat and put some of the blame on Nico by putting out a version of events like this? We all believed the first part before, so...

Either way, **** em. Truly. They are UCLA's problem now.

Sorry for calling you names, Big Nic and saying mean things about you...

...it's actually your son that is a gigantic, immature pooswah, not you.

My bad, big dog.
