I'm sitting here in bemused disbelief. Don't these people realize how stupid and lame they look, I know they are desperate but c'mon. This whole thing is setting up as a complete disaster for UCLA, unless Nico lights it up and UCLA makes the playoff, it will be bad for Nico and UCLA. More likely scenario is that Nico struggles on an undermanned team and UCLA goes sub .500. Ultimate disaster would be if this Aguilar kid has any kind of success at Tennessee.True clown show
Something that’s not TBD is the fact that we upgraded culture. We removed a major cancer from the roster and intern got a guy who is competitive and has something to prove.TBD....

We're fixin to find out if Nico is worth 4 mil. He better play like 4 mill or Big Nic is working as a Wal-Mart greeter in two years.
Didn't say he wasn't a upgrade for team moral but what is to be determined Is if Aguilar cuts down on turnovers. Geesh, Im always skeptical about players coming in and playing. Everyone last season posted Brazzell was a difference maker and I fell for it. This season is wait and see in my eyes. Individuals can have different perspectives...Something that’s not TBD is the fact that we upgraded culture. That will have an overall positive impact to the team. It might not make for a better record this year, but I guarantee you it makes for a healthier culture two and three years down the line.
What I was saying is that Nico is playing for real big money now, NFL money. If he bombs or is mediocre coupled with the bad PR, he will lose a lot of money. Depending on this year's performance, Nico could be anything from a first round pick to a UDFA.Doesn’t really matter if he plays like he’s worth $4M bc he’s not getting paid that.
I’d bet Nico has an ok year and makes some highlight plays just like he did for Vols.
Many fans discount the team chemistry aspect. Rarely do the 77- 78 Yankees happen, where a team that is in turmoil in the locker room is a winner on the field. Good team chemistry and bonded locker room is a force multiplier. Team division or locker room unrest is boat anchor.Something that’s not TBD is the fact that we upgraded culture. Kobe and Shaq hated each other and won 3 NBA Titles in a row. They didn't let the feelings for each other affect or (effect every which one is the correct word for the English Majors)their play on the court....Many fans discount the team chemistry aspect. Sounds better than nico versus ohio state.I'm 50/50 on the guy. Aguilar only game vs top notch competition at Applachain State last season was Clemson. Stats were 18/41 214 yards passing, 43.9% completion percentage and a 38.7 QBR. Not very good some are going to say what about his other games? Well I don't see a Georgia State or Louisiana Monroe in SEC. Big step up for the young man, hopefully Aguilar can be a game manager and not turn the ball over and score enough points to win. Going to be depending on defense more than ever this upcoming season imo..
I wish I could find the positivity some of you seem to have. I just don't have it. I see a trainwreck, and I'm praying for survivors. I hope this new QB works out, but I have major doubts.
I'm not saying it hasn't happened before, there are some examples of infighting and disunity on championship teams. But it is a fact that has been proven over and over, tightly bonded teams pulling together, playing for each other, with a "whatever is best for the team" mentality, overachieve.Kobe and Shaq hated each other and won 3 NBA Titles in a row. They didn't let the feelings for each other affect or (effect every which one is the correct word for the English Majors)their play on the court....

I’d second what Seargent said. It’s a great resource for small schools, however we did have engagement with fbs schools there as well. Whether it was a GA on the other end of actual coach, no way to tell?!This is good info. I have been of the mindset that camping is the best exposure. Especially when we are probably going to look at a board of Regents school to get my state discount. At least we have that to fall back on if she only gets a partial scholarship.
She’s doing the UT elite camp this summer and we are looking at some other options as well. She did UTC and Cumberland camps last summer.
Having said all that, I may have made her such a huge UT fan that she goes to Knoxville whether she has a scholarship or not. That makes me wonder if the NCSA is worth the investment.
He was also playing for a G5 team that went 5-6 last season with a really bad defense against a team that made the playoffs last season. You don't think the the talent difference had anything to his poor stats that game?I'm 50/50 on the guy. Aguilar only game vs top notch competition at Applachain State last season was Clemson. Excellent info. Thanks so much for your insight. We are going to start getting videos ourselves, contacting some coaches, and doing some camps this summer to get started. I want to try to pick the coaches’ brains and then maybe go from there. In the end, I get the sense it’s all about personal relationships whether you started on NCSA, YouTube, or via email.I’d second what Seargent said. It is great for having contact info readily available, BUT, the student athlete email comes from “@ncsa….” And not a personalized account, which is is a turnoff for many. We’ve had coaches say they hit delete immediately.
You will get a ton of camp invites, most are money grab. Unless your daughter has actual engagement from a coach via email or X, she’s not being recruited, just filling a spot at a camp from our experience.
We had about a 25% email “open” ratio of roughly 1000 sent.
I cannot say it’s entirely worthless bc he did receive offers from schools via NCSA, but most came from camp performances and X dm’s and film.
We went through 4 “recruiting coaches” in 3 years, and had to build relationships with each new one which was frustrating. They have full time jobs too, so engagement is daunting. Our last coach did have very good connections that will perhaps pay dividends down the road, he’s an OC at a very highly recruited prep school in the south east.
IMO, you can do it all yourself, it just takes much more effort. Best bet is to dial in potential schools and begin contacting their position coaches, ga’s, analysts and attend their camps.
We ended up at a great D2 school that was outside of NCSA, never had a single engagement with them from there.
Best of luck, ask away if you have any other questions!
P5 QB ratings - Joey is meh on QBR. Too many turnovers.
Nico was very meh in this offense. JH had fallen in love with NFL type bodies that just weren't accurate enough deep. Art Briles lit up the Big 12 with such studs as Nick Florence, Seth Russell, and Bryce Petty.I wish I could find the positivity some of you seem to have. I just don't have it. I see a trainwreck, and I'm praying for survivors. I hope this new QB works out, but I have major doubts.
