Not freaking out...context matters. You have never seen a Vol under Barnes to act in any way similar to that on social media. Vol is a brand. And yes Zeigler curses but he don't act immature for the world to see acting like a punk like Freeman has been known to act. Zeigler has had composure & professionalism through his time, even when he could have been posting street like behavior. There's levels to this - and the pros are watching. Ja Morant is a great example of who I see Freeman trying to act like - not professional... Ja lost tons of money for his "street like behavior" and he deserved it.

Also - not that I think there’s necessarily anything wrong with playing 2v2 for money, did you actually see them exchange money after the game or are you just assuming because of the headline on the video?

And other than the video, where do you get that Freeman is known to act like a punk? ZZ has gotten in his fair share of skirmishes but doesn’t make him a punk. He had that incident at Arizona where he tripped the guy and quite a few FU’s to opposing players (and even Eli Dorkwitz).

Guys, I’ve really enjoyed following Tennessee basketball on the board. First of all, I love Barnes and how his teams play. Second, it’s fascinating seeing the inner workings of a fan base since I’m usually interacting with mostly Kentucky fans.

OK, Caveat aside… I’m brave enough for my first reality check. I’m talking recruiting all day long— a lot of UK, but also Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Louisville, Arkansas and a few others. I don’t know why this board has such a fixation on getting their recently graduated seniors back. No other fan base is talking about this, much less thinks it is a possibility. It will NOT happen, at least not for 2025 graduates.

If I’m wrong… I will purchase and wear a Tennessee shirt to work (in my very BLUE Kentucky hometown). Picture proof included.

Dont guess you can relate but perhaps because our seniors were good? There’s no fixation,just occasional comments mentioning it’s a possibility. Appreciate the concern tho. Really appreciate your consolation post when we missed out on a recruit saying we would be ok. We been good. Worry bout yo self

Happy Easter! Why is this still a conversation? Lol. If an athlete post that they are playing two on two for money and proceeds to play an intense 2v2 matchup live for everyone to watch then why would I not believe the one who posted the live?

I have played for money almost every competitive basketball player I knew of growing up did. But as an athlete especially in the nil era you are held to a standard & the University of Tennessee holds their players to a standard on their social medias. It is rare we have seen a Vol Hoops guy do that on their social medias - we haven't seen it.
I'm done talking about it tho lol. Im glad i seen it, i believe we dodged having a guy in the program that could have caused some off court issues & potential chemistry issues. If im wrong fine, but I know the culture we have at TN under Barnes.

And I've heard from several that he has tremendous punk and bully tensencies, so I did not know this for myself until a couple who has been around him enough to point that out about his character. And watching the live I definitely seen some of that.

For all I know Coach Barnes will allow all Vols to start using their social medias to promote playing 2v2 for money & making a mockery of the Vol brand as Vol athletes making a complete a$$ out of themselves. But I doubt it.
