Eaglestaff or the Akron shooting guards could be backup plans as well with the money they have for Rice. Rice I think still strongly considering us. It helps we have his friend signed. Adding Ament could only help if kid wants to win.

I think also part of the money aspect is it makes no sense to overspend on Rice when Gillespie would be paid a lot less. If Nova is going to spend 3 mill and Rice wants biggest bag he'll probably go there.

Barnes and vols offer development, showcase on top 25 team, and chance to go far in the tourney.

Could Peja Stoiakovic's (sp) be in play if Rice goes to Nova?

I know he was recruited pretty hard by the staff the first time around.

I don’t think we are interested. When you look deeply at his stats and analytics, he doesn’t seem like he is very good.

You don’t “know” anything. You have a guess/hope based on rumors your read on the internet. Unfortunately, Trilly is the most connected person in CBB, if he says it, its almost always true.

“Not one site?” That may be true, if you don’t count Trilly as a site. As a source, though, he’s rarely wrong.

What you say might have been true, until CBM went to the portal. I’m starting to think it was a mutual parting of ways, in order for Auburn to get more NIL to entice Freeman.

We have just as good an offer as Auburn and kid will be on a better team for next year. Hopefully Barnes gets another trip to Cracker Barrel. Boosters have stepped up with our basketball budget. Almost three times what it was for this last year according to Basilio.

Rice and Freeman both have multiple years left. It’s easier to retain players you already have when they know they are gonna get paid. We will be looking for two starters again next season rather than having them set in stone

Just my opinion. I didn’t ask anyone to agree with me
