Not sure about WR. We've got the 6 you're referring to plus Boo and Braylon Harmon. Not ideal by any stretch, but we could survive by utilizing TEs more.

What would be really dumb would be entering the season with only 2 QBs on the roster.
A) Because we'd be a couple injuries away from seeing DeSean Bishop or Boo Carter at QB; and
B) Because we wouldn't even have enough QBs to practice efficiently. We need 3 or 4 guys throwing balls during practice drills.

But Heupel isn't stupid. We will definitely sign at least one QB and likely at least one WR and DT. The portal is open for 7 more days.

There’s likely tons going on behind the scenes that VQ doesn’t know about. If it isn’t coming from a recruits mouth, I don’t think they’re very connected. I think they are used as mouth pieces when the staff wants to put info out. But as far as transfer portal stuff, the staff isn’t calling AP and telling him which guys were talking to

I'm pretty concerned because anybody that enters the spring portal that's proven or an instant plug-in starter is going to command a big $ deal. It's been proven on many occasions that we don't like to play that game in the portal which means we're probably not grabbing anyone of that quality. And that's without even factoring in the entire QB discussion

QB is totally different. Heupel has shown that’s a position he’s willing to spend. How do you think we are getting Brandon?

We aren’t looking for a starter at DT.

Still relevant to the discussion about recruiting QB’s at a high level. We are paying for them, which you suggested you were concerned about paying.

We are looking for just contributors at positions- not necessarily starters.
