Coach Prime

It is. Hard to believe there are that many going back 10+ years. I assume a few of those schools must have a policy against retiring numbers.
UF, Oklahoma, and Alabama don't retire numbers. Oregon and Texas A&M also don't have any retired numbers but not sure if that is a policy. Some of those others are very recent winners who might be retired in time (Daniels, Burrow).

It is wild to me though that Auburn hasn't officially retired #2 (nobody has worn it since Cam, but it hasn't officially been retired), because they do retire numbers. Same for Michigan and Woodson.

Cam and Woodson were the 2 biggest surprises for sure

Most of Michigan believed Peyton should have win too 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are they retiring the numbers or just the whole "retiring" the jersey thing. The jersey thing is less a big deal, but if they mean nobody will wear those numbers again, that's silly. Hunter I can buy more but even with him that's silly. And Sanders is a joke, he did nothing to deserve it.

"We're talking about Shedeur. We ain't talking about nobody else," the coach/father said. "If his last name wasn't Sanders, we wouldn't have this discussion."

Exactly. Because his jersey wouldn’t be retired.

That's an incredibly "No s*** Sherlock" type of statement from Prime Time.

Not only would Shadeur's jersey not have been retired now, but it would never even come up for discussion at anytime in the future.

Im sure There are a lot of great former Colorado players who should have their jerseys retired. I’d be interested to know what the criteria is

That is the ultimate "correct, but for the wrong reason" statement.

He's saying that if his last name wasn't Sanders, his number would be retired no questions asked. Lmao

Do you realize what Colorado football had been for the 25 years before Sanders & Co arrived?

For the most part, IDC about criticizing the Shadeur Sanders, Caleb Williams, etc. of the CFB world, but there are so many aspects to this that stink like BS:

- Why right now? That is so weird. Tebow's 15 isn't even retired, yet.
- His individual successes (awards and stats) do not merit retirement, in a traditional sense.
- He was only there 2 years and had modest team success.
- He seemed like a crappy leader. Maybe the guys liked him, but he threw them under the bus a bunch.

Nepo baby BS. Had to do it now while Deion is still there, because it probably doesn't happen otherwise.

UF doesn’t retire numbers. 15 belongs to Reidel Anthony as much as it belongs to Tim Tebow.

I do agree it’s odd Colorado decided to retire Shadeur’s number without so much as a Big 12 championship or Heisman to go with it.

Maybe Colorado is taking a page from the Celtics, and just retire random numbers whether warranted or not.

I think he'll fall to the late first round, somewhere around the 23rd pick or later. That easily meets your standard of being drafted WAY too high.
If he falls that far, I wouldn't say too high. Top 15 would be too high.

issue is NFL teams are always QB hungry. and without many real options, people will go higher than they should.

Anthony Richardson went 5th overall. Will Levis was the first pick in the second round. some idiots are trying to argue that Jalen Milroe could sneak into the first round. the falcons spent 100 million on a qb, and then drafted one in the top 10. when it comes to qbs it takes a lot to surprise me when it comes to the draft.

I just don't think its realistic for that many teams to not grab up a QB.
