Well, I hope that CRB has several decisions to make about playing time and most effective position for each player, and what combination of players work better together with these players:
Gillespie, Rice, Boswell, Ament, Freeman, Carey, Phillips, Okpara, Estrella
That will be a fun problem to have. One that I know CRB is working hard to make happen. Maybe he gets all of these guys and one or two more!

I mean, it would make sense.

IF we land Freeman and Ament. And if JP gets healthy, Cade seems like he would be buried on the depth chart.

Now if we don’t get Rice, and Freeman and Ament have to slot up a position, maybe it frees up minutes for him. But I’m still a bit unconvinced he fits our new roster composition regardless.

If Cade could develop a jump shot and shoot better from the free throw line, that could change things.

I think that’s a fair logical assessment, which is part of why I think he’s talking out of his you know what. Especially because he said we’d have to wait a few days to know. If he knew for sure, it would not take a few days for it to come true. To me, sounds like he’s making an educated guess that he hopes comes true to claim insider status.

Phillips would indeed be buried on the depth chart, so it would not blow my mind if he transferred, but he has also seemed like a great teammate and hard worker so he may stay and fight.

Cade is a great teammate and contributes greatly with the culture and team chemistry that the Vols have developed under CRB. It would be a great loss to this team and this basketball program if we lost Cade. He's the type of player that championship teams need. Plug and play whenever and wherever he's needed.

So we can't run an offense with 4 players on the perimeter? When do we put on 4 with his back to the basket? Never.

Why would Cade leave? He’s likely getting a good NIL package now, has played in back to back elite eights, at a school he loves with a staff that fits his faith well and has the potential to get minutes regardless of who we add because Rick trust him & he rewards hard workers.

If Cade wanted to be a starter he wouldn’t have picked TN to begin with. He wanted to come be coached & develop. I’m more worried JP hangs it up because of his constant foot issues. But in this NIL era anything can happen. Hope we don’t lose Cade though he’s a glue guy big time

Gonzaga insider is saying they have offered 3 mil to Rice. He's also saying USC has offered close to 5 mil to him. This portal window has been truly insane.
