Well most sources say they refused to fulfill their obligations to Spyre which resulted in less pay. Since the father is his agent and woefully unqualified to be so, they likely feel slighted by that since he probably had no idea what he was signing.I don't want to sound like i'm defending Nico because I'm not. He's a 20 year old man.
However, I do wonder if the shadiness of NIL deals gone wrong shaped the attitude of his camp. It sounds like they have trust issues, and we've all heard of unfullfilled NIL promises. That doesn't seem at all what happened to him, but could have contributed to their attitude towards the whole process.
They never complained about not getting paid, so I doubt it could have shaped their attitude.I don't want to sound like i'm defending Nico because I'm not. He's a 20 year old man.

yeah, i'm thinking that had something to do with it.Well most sources say they refused to fulfill their obligations to Spyre which resulted in less pay. He waved his arm over his head, which was already a rule. The third bullet - I thought that was already a rule? It costed us field position per the ref in the ‘23 Bama game because a frontline return team player made some movement with his arms.
You’d think with the lineage of “generally good dude” QB’s we have, Manning, Dobbs, Hooker… someone would have tried to steer him to at least try to LOOK like he cared about any of it. But who knows, maybe they did and Big Nic cussed them out too lolyeah, i'm thinking that had something to do with it.
I mean it seems pretty easy to me to show up to do your marketing obligations. It's not hard work. But they seemed bitter over it, and not wanting to go the extra mile to impress anyone.
It’s sad thinking because one of these shows made a great point. Josh Dobbs can do anything he wants in Knoxville, and he didn’t even win at a high level. But he endeared himself to the fans, and they reward him. If you think big picture, making appearances not only makes you money, but it gets you so much good will for the future. Doors open when you treat people well. It’s pretty simple.yeah, i'm thinking that had something to do with it.

You’re giving them a lot of credit. They will be 10+ point dogs against Utah. They will be dogs against both MSU and Northwestern. Their only games I could see them being favored in is Maryland, Washington and New Mexico.UCLA's schedule
vs Utah
at UNLV
vs New Mexico
at Northwestern
vs Penn State
at Michigan State
vs Maryland
at Indiana
vs Nebraska
at Ohio State
vs Washington
at USC
Probably gonna lose at least 4-6 games
Not buying it. Self serving narcissistic ego maniac comes to mind though. Not Nico, but his dad.I don't want to sound like i'm defending Nico because I'm not. He's a 20 year old man.

Eh, seems like a stretch. If someone has always paid you on time in full, you don't leave them because you heard stories of other people not getting paid.not their experices specifically, but just hearing of others not getting paid could have made them the way they are. Thinking the same thing might happen to them, even though it didn't
It’s his second year, but last year didn’t instill much confidenceYou’re giving them a lot of credit. They will be 10+ point dogs against Utah. They will be dogs against both MSU and Northwestern. Their only games I could see them being favored in is Maryland, Washington and New Mexico.
This season for them will be akin to Tony Elliott’s first season at UVA. First time HC with a first time OC and zero talent.
That's potentially the problem. Established QBs don't have anything to base the quality of the playmakers on the roster. We don't have any WRs returning that have proven anything on the field, much less being a significant playmaker. To get a above average QB in this tight window, we may have to also invest in a top WR from the portal first and then get the QB on board. We have playmakers. We have them every year even if they haven't been given a shot yet.
Losing to Florida never looks greatThat’s what Meyer is saying here, lose to Florida because Quarterback that won’t look great after the season. @Ten_Titans I agree
Both the WRs and OL are unproven. Doesn't mean they're bad, but certainly, they have yet to show how good or bad they will be. We've yet to see if one of the RBs will step up and be a dynamic playmaker like Sampson. So yeah, there are a lot of questions for this offense that could chase a potential portal QB away. But I do believe a good QB has a lot of potential to mold on this team. It's just whether or not potential is reached. That's potentially the problem.
